11 Duplicate Emails from CORI/Stericycle

Yesterday, I received 11 duplicate emails from CORI/Stericycle. The emails all contained an incomplete sentence, a non-existent list of shops, and no way to contact the scheduler.

If at first you don't succeed, just send out the same email 10 more times...

They've gone a bit nuts with the emails in the last month or so. I just delete them all. One of their schedulers was snarky with me when I was trying to take one of the shops she had just send out 4 emails within about 15 minutes for, that I was physically near at the time, but I couldn't find on the job board because I didn't fit the age requirement, that she hadn't bothered to mention in the emails.

She made it sound like I was some kind of moron for not knowing that the reason I couldn't see it was because I didn't fit the requirements.

Well, her loss. It took her weeks and bonus money to get that shop done by someone else *after* they lifted the age requirement.

Time to build a bigger bridge.
Same here. I have an entire collection in my deleted folder.

I had hoped their personal relations skills would have improved with the transition to Stericycle, but it sounds like just the opposite has happened from your experience.

Update: within the last two hours, five more of the exact same emails have arrived in my inbox. We're up to 16 now!

Received one from another company but exactly 11 emails for a fine dining establishment for tomorrow night only.

I was half asleep when I read the emails and kept imagining the restaurant filled with only mystery shoppers. I crack myself up!

Haha I'm sorry but I couldn't help but laugh at that. God that's annoying though..

I kept wondering what caused this to happen and thought maybe a new e-mail went out every time one of the locations was assigned so the list of available ones was up to date, but I never looked at what was available on their board until a few hours ago.

They wouldn't have to be so frantic if they would just pay a decent wage. I'm not talking over the top bonus just be reasonable. I used to really love working for them, I would struggle through their IE forms that would kick me out time and time again, I hung in there because they paid fast and you could get some really good bonuses sometime. Now it seems like they just don't care, at least in my area.

Likewise, I used to complete numerous shops for them each month. I haven't done one in about six months because their pay rate would not even compensate me for starting up my engine. And I had to haggle the scheduler just to receive $15/shop for a route of shops that I would often get paid $20-30/shop for. Apparently there are enough desperate shoppers willing to work for less than minimum wage.

...Feel free to respond to this email in inquiry.

So I reply, but now their address is revealed to be...

And, of course, I get an auto-reply...

I think there is something emblematic in receiving email from Corporate Research International, with Stericycle hiding behind the name, inviting and simultaneously preventing communications.

Or maybe it's just that the internet can't find Findlay, Indianapolis.
