I don't think we should have to pay for our background check every year and/or be drug tested for some clients like <Oops!>, especially when I passed the background check two years ago when I first started working for them? Any other thoughts from anyone who has/is working for them?

I don't have a problem paying for my own screenings but I do expect the MSC to compensate at a higher level than they would for a shop not requiring special qualifications. Just like I expect to receive more for a shop that requires I have a late model luxury car than one that doesn't care what I drive.
Just like any job or consultancy, the higher the demands by the client/MSC, the better the employee/consultant expects to be compensated.
I never see the TrendSource jobs bonused. I only receive emails that say name your price for PAD, however when you click on the job, there is a schedule that tells you what you can request based on mileage.
PAD is the bonus for trendsource. The initial rate like many msc is garbage. You can request pad and write your reason like time to do shop distance or any other reason. They may not give it to you or they may. i just which they were a little bit more speedy inn their decisions.
Shopping Western NY, Northeast and Central PA, and parts of Ohio and West Virginia. Have car will travel anywhere if the monies right.
I agree. They take a long time because they are trying to wait for someone to do the shop without the request or a lower one but that messes me up when I am hoping to do a shop a certain day due to other commitments.
