Asset Protection Services?

I don't see this in the list of companies here. It's a Sassie job board. I applied several days ago for an assignment that has a 6 hour window for tommorow afternoon. It sounded interesting in that they wanted the under $50 purchase made in cash and mailed back to them. Since I never got the full shop instructions, I don't know what the target was. It could have been a counterfeit audit or more likely an employee integrity check.

The shop was still in the pending status and I didn't want to check my email tommorow afternoon and have it assigned to me without time to review it, so I just had to withdraw my application.

There was an email for the scheduler in the job description. They have other interesting shops in the area.

With some companies stating to NOT contact the scheduler and others that welcome you to contact the scheduler, I never know how to approach a new company.

Can anyone tell me if they have had any experience with this company?

Is it possibly Asset Protection Associates (also known as Corporate Risk Solutions)? If so I've worked for them and really like them. While their reports can be lengthy and fairly narrative heavy, I find the pay offered is fair. I've also found the schedulers and editors easy to work with.
Next time, I'll reach out with an email when I apply and market my abilities to them. If they see I'm hungry for the job, I might get it assigned next time. smiling smiley

They have some higher paying shops. I'd rather work a bit harder on a higher paying shop and do the longer narratives or even mail product as this shop required. It is smarter than doing the little $10-$12 shops. You still have to enter it in your spreadsheet and go through most of the same effort of finding the shop.

Typing is cheaper than gas.
I guess I'm lucky because they always seem to be begging for shoppers in my area. I do one pretty high end "outdoorsy" store for them, and I've also done another mid-range sporting good/outdoor store (only when bonused). Both (particularly when bonused) are well worth my time. I really enjoy trying on the high end jackets, and usually end up perusing Ebay when I get home to try to find the $400 jacket I fell in love with at a fraction of the price!

I've seen these "audits" where they ask you to buy something, inspect it, and possibly send it in, but I haven't applied for those. Keep me posted if you end up getting assigned. Otherwise, I don't think I've seen any other shops from them in my area.
