You shop for Maritz often?

Before today, I had not completed a shop for them. I'm not a big phone talker and was not a huge fan of the directions for the shops, so I always passed. I also found the fees lower than I normally accept. But this week, a shop contained an incentive putting the fees into my 'acceptable' area and I clicked on it.

It was not difficult but I really feel like I've jumped through a lot of hoops. Test, resizing pics, writing on the business card prior to scanning, several emails before the assignment.

I'm not sure it was worth it. Do you shop often for this company?

No. I tend to only shop for them at the beginning of the quarter when I take some of the gas station shops (not audits) at the locations near my house and at the end of the quarter I'll take bonused shops of the same type in places I'm travelling anyway. It's the only type of shop I will do for them and it's not too much of a hassle since it doesn't require photos.

416 shops for them last year. The tests are annoying, but you'll have them memorized pretty quickly. Resize your photos in batches with freeware. Not all projects actually require writing on the business card or receipt, but a small PITA when it does. Not sure what your emails were about. I didn't have any.
I've never done any shops for them. Their fees are too low for where I would have to drive to.

So you DO like them! Good to know.

I received a few emails about 'reminders' and 'what to look for' before the shop.

108 shops for them so far in January.

I refuse to work for them anymore. I completed a phone shop on the earliest possible date allowed and updated all of the information I could while waiting for the documentation to arrive. Before the deadline I started receiving past due notices. I spoke with an employee and was told that it was no big deal because I was waiting for documentation still and it wasn't actually past due. Long story short, they cancelled the shop, didn't pay me and no one could tell me why. That combined with low pay and annoying extra steps make it not worth it for me anymore. I have several other companies and had no problem writing this one off.
They have instructions on how to set the phone shop date back for two more weeks. You are supposed to do that before doing anything in the shop. I called them about it as they said to if you needed help with it.
I've done a bit of work for them this month. Their shop fees do tend to be low, but their bonuses can be great! I find the multiple communication problems extremely annoying, including that they seem to rarely communicate by email. I have also had payment issues with them. But so far I'm still taking work from them.
personally I love the gas stations and I like the phone calls where they through the check book at me to go do a shop in Timbuktu.
I love the bank shops, super easy money. They are easy once you get used to the drill. I set my camera to take them the size they want. I get home, write the number on everything, take the pics and upload them. Done.
I love the phone calls too. They generally mean a big bonus to go somewhere no one wants to go.
I recently registered with them and did my first shops for them this month. Some of these were bank shops, for which they paid 33% LESS than the identical bank shops I did for another MSC. The reason I took the shops was that I knew how easy they were and I wanted to get on their radar as a someone who won't flake out on them - hopefully that will lead to some good bonuses down the road.

I looked around their website and could not figure out what their pay schedule is. I wrote them to find out and haven't received a reply. Does anyone know?
I get paid twice a month. Not sure when they cut the checks but I get one slightly after the first and the other one slightly past mid month.

My spreadsheet says they pay on the 15th and the 30th, so that sounds inline with what MDN just said.

All I see in my area are banks and I don't want to do those. They seem like a pain in the you-know-what. sad smiley

** for the fee I mean and the distance I would have to travel. Cheap fee. sad smiley
