Beyond Hello Fast Food Audits

Insula Research previously conducted the fast food pricing audits. They were bought out by Mystery Researchers, who was quickly bought out by Beyond Hello.

Sadly, Beyond Hello sent out an email with the new pricing audit shops, and they have dropped the commission to $8 each (down from $11 when Insula had them). This is extremely disappointing, considering that these shops are a bit time consuming and obviously require money to be spent on gas for local travel/sitting in the drive-thru line. In the past, I would pick up dozens of these shops during their audit periods. Unfortunately, they are just not worth it anymore.

It's unfortunate that shoppers suffer when these mergers and transitions take place within the industry, but obviously it is up to us to adjust and make up for the lost revenue in other places. Even so, Insula was one of my favorite companies to work with, but unfortunately they are no more. They are already missed.

I haven't read the details of the quote-for-tires shop, but it's less than half what the other company. Who would do a tire quote for 9 dollars I wonder?

I read that a purchase is required and that the reimbursement is $1. Can anything even be purchased for $1?
I just applied for a bunch of these because it sounded like you just have to take a couple of pictures of the menu board while going through the drive thru. Is it more than that? Am I going to regret these applications? I'm shopping a route on Saturday that will pass by many of these locations. My day is pretty full, so if these take a lot of time, I need to delete my applications.

To me it isn't the number of photos, but the quality of the photos. I think you have to be able to read every price crystal clear.

Last go round Insula paid $15 for these in my area. Now they are $8, 5-6 photos, small purchase, and no reimbursement. However now there is a LOA whereas before there was no LOA.

I found out that these particular shops are photo only. So they actually won't be as bad as I thought. Normally, you have to enter lots of pricing data from the menu board. I don't think you will regret them. In fact, I picked up two myself because I will be passing near two shops while doing another mystery shop.
Yeah...it's all over.
Shops that were $12 are now at $8, and shops that were $10
are now $5.
With gas back on the rise, I think the boards will start to be full.
Is it greed... of have the contract agreements changed decreasing
the fees paid to the agencies?
I just did my first one and all you do is take pictures of the menu board and buy a value drink or Iced tea for $1.00. It may not pay as much but much easier than having to list prices of a lot of items.
Oh heck yes! In addition to taking photos, I had to have a pair of binoculars before and park so I could view the menu board to write down all of the prices...and depending on which FF restaurant it was, that might be a lot of prices! Now you just have to take photos? Yippeeee!
The shops were $15 when I did them last for Insula. At $8 less the cost of a purchase I didn't think it was worth it. I guess some needy shopper thought it was, because they were grabbed up immediately.

Incidentally, Ace offered similar shops at $10 each for the past three years, with no purchase requirement, just photos. This year they were offered at $7 and immediately claimed.

So some of you have actually been assigned some of these shops? I applied for two in the town that I live in just to check them out. Since I don't eat FF, I am guessing that I can buy a drink or a side salad. But my two applications are still pending and all the remaining locations in a 15-mile radius are still sitting on the boards. I applied for them on Monday; today is now Friday. The due date is fast approaching. I think Mystery Researchers/Beyond Hello is not handling the merger very well.
I'm still waiting for my applications to be accepted too. My route in that area is tomorrow, so if they don't accept them by then, I'll have to delete them.

They have quotas and once they've reached the quota, the shops won't be assigned. That's what they told me when I inquired about a location I was going to be at. I deleted my app for that location because in case something changes, I don't want an orphan $8 shop.

ETA: I did one and it was simple.

I doubt it is a quota thing since none of the shops in my current area have been assigned. It just looks like someone dropped the ball.
The job seems easy enough, but I refuse to do it for a measly $8 which doesn't even offer a reimbursement for the required purchase.

This is good to know since my applications are still sitting there, too. I don't know why they don't delete the jobs and our applications if their quota has been reached.
