The 10 Largest Mystery Shopping Companies

I just published an article on Mystery Shopper Magazine. It's a list of the 10 largest mystery shopping companies. They're ranked by the number of forum members who report they're registered with each company.

Check it out:

I am registered with all 10, plus 4 of the additional 5 listed. I use this forum to identify companies, mostly based on the most discussed list. I then went to Sassie (Jobslinger), initially I just added companies if they had jobs listed I was interested in. After reading more here, I realized many of them do not post their shops so I am slowly adding more MSCs to find out what they are about.

@isaiah58 -- You can sort of put it together, with enough leg work. This is the first time I've put the rankings in one place.

Hilarious. I did enough work with 2 of those to generate a 1099 last year. The other 8 together would not have generated a 1099.

I am actually registered with all 15 and have done work with 14. It was a surprise.

I'm registered with all of them but only actually work for about half of them and none that much.

There are only two I've done work for in the last six months, Intellishop and Bare. The records for the longest without taking a single assignment are MF in February of 2013 and Trendsource in November of 2012.

2014 Stats:
Registered with all in the Top 10 (and the +5).
Did work with all in the Top 10.
Number of shops per Top 10 MSC ranged from 1 to 416.
Most shops for a non-Top 10 MSC: 44
Of Note:
Completed 98 shops combined for the three pre-merger Beyond Hello companies in 2014.
Post-merger 2015 Beyond Hello = 1.
The link to the article is in the very first post. There is also a link at the bottom of every page to a list of about two hundred companies.

Edited because autocorrect is never correct.

Registered with all of them, but the bulk of my work comes from MF smiling smiley I do a lot of the companies but not 4 shops a day with the same company, like I do MF.
Wow, I am registered with most of the 10 + 5 companies but I only work for 2 out of 10 and 1 out of 5 on a regular basis. The majority of them I have never even worked with due to low paying shops and undesirable shops for my taste. The most talked about MSCs does not necessarily mean that they are the best companies to do work for. Smaller, boutique companies offer me regular work with higher fees. Work less, play hard.
