GCS Field Research

Does anyone have recent experience with GCS Field Research? I signed on with them as an independent contractor within the last two weeks but today I called their office and received a message that the number was no longer available. has anyone else had the same experience?

GCS Field Research is alive and well. I did a bv for them a couple days ago and have one scheduled for next week. I love working for this company and wish I were able to do the audits. Here is contact info from their website. Hope that helps.

I love the company too. I have three jobs this week and one next week for them. They are helpful and answer right back when you have a question. The pay is good .
Thank you! I have done those but not familiar with the abbreviation for it! Thanks!
Hello

So today I got a package from usps priority mail with a check for 1995.00 from Wescom Credit Union, Cashier's Check dated for 5/27/15. With it came a paper about depositing it all, keeping $200 for myself, using $15 for the job, and after I'm done going to a money gram/western union to send the rest to the next person, I can pick one of the three people listed.

Does this sound like GCS Research? It's what the paper says. I'm afraid to do anything with the check, but also afraid if it's legit and I don't do anything with the check I'll be in trouble as well. If it's not legit can anyone suggest a few places to get started with mystery shopping?

Thanks.
This is a scam. It has nothing to do with the legitimate company whose name got hijacked. Your "Cashier's Check" is phony and will bounce. Go straight to the police and the postal inspectors. DO NOT DEPOSIT THE CHECK. IT WILL BOUNCE.

xkazaf I got one of these as well. Very skeptical when it comes to depositing this large check. I have called sheriff's office & waiting on a response now. I feel in my heart that this is wayyyyy too good to be true. I don't believe that a company will pay someone that much to go & sit in a restaurant to review it. And why wire a large amount of the monies to someone out of our country???
Not sure why you would not just call GCS and ask them. BUT to me it says SCAM loud and clear. I sincerely doubt the sheriff's office will do anything.
The only person who cares about the check is the bank or credit union. If you call them and ask for the fraud department and give them the routing and account number on the check, they will thank you.

They are the ones to loose money if the funds cannot be extracted from the person who cashed the fake check.
