CFA deactivated me. Any ideas on how to get the payment still owed to me?

I've been posting about the lighter assignment with them among other assignment issues with them lately. I had promised myself not to take anymore assignments with them, but I still had a few remaining from before. This morning I had messages from CFA rescheduling all of them. I know that is most likely not totally their fault, but I had really had it with all the problems with them.

Anyways I called them this morning and pretty much just flat out asked what is wrong with their company. I had an email complaining I didn't fill out the lighter form, then I fill it out and get another email complaining that I filled it out before I knew where to ship them. I wasn't necessarily rude to anyone, I just asked if anyone had any sort of answers for anything.

So I try to log in this afternoon and found the deactivated my account. That is fine as I really should stop taking assignments with them since nothing ever goes as planned, but I do want to be paid for the shops I already completed.

Should I plan on getting paid or is it a lost cause? Anyone have any experience with this?

My mischievious side would be to call and tell them that I was returning the lighters to the stores where they had been picked up since I had been deactivated before ever being informed of what to do with them so that I could file my report so that I could be paid.

I wouldn't give them job numbers or any of the rest of that information and I wouldn't bother returning them, but I would get a kick out of pulling their chain.
Bwahahahaha. :-)

Maybe once they figure out what service will take them, someone here might tell you what one, and you should send them COD to CFA!

Is the continued frustration worth the fee, Lisa?

I would return the lighters, destroyed or not, next time I was near the store, and be done with CFA. Let this be someone else's problem now. You have put up with enough.
I think most have reported that they got paid for completed shops after deactivation.

One door closes, another opens, Lisa.

Haha, sounds like a plan.

That also sounds like a plan.
This is the worst company to work for. CFA is owned by Market Force I do not understand why Market Force allows this. I was deactivated by CFA, also. I know a lot of schedulers left CFA because of this crap. BBB should be made aware of CFA,maybe get enough complaints something will be done. CFA will pay you for the work you have done.
My friend just got deactivated from CFI. They are broke from driving all over the planet for them. Do they pay their auditors for their jobs, once they've been let go also?
Tom, I'm a little concerned. WHICH company did your friend have trouble with? Certified or Corporate Research? This sounds like your story is applying to both companies. Perhaps your friend would be willing to share their tale on the forum so we actually know first hand which company was causing problems.
Since this was reborn, I'll post a little update. I did end up getting paid for all of the jobs I did for them except for the lighter recall pickup.

I still have the lighters and still have no idea what to do with them. Everytime I call CFA, I'm told they will call me when they have a pickup method for them, but that call never seems to come.
oh, i meant corporate research. big problems, read my post flash. they are now looking for a REAL job. sad smiley
Ok. I've never really had problems with Corporate Research, but I rarely work for them because my sense is that their fees alone speak to their respect (read lack of respect) for shoppers.

There are plenty of reasonable companies out there to work WITH without having to rely on Corporate Research or on outfits such as Certified (that this thread pertains to).

I think it is time to call and tell them that if they don't tel you how to dispose of them by X date, you will be disposing of the next day.

I agree with Dee, except I would send email to them instead of calling, and keep the email. If they ever contact you in the future, you have proof that you sent email to them.
