Senior Home Visit for Intellishop

I tried searching for this, but could not locate the information I wanted. If there is another appropriate thread, please feel free to point me in that direction. This assignment had been bonused at $50, making it an $80 shop. I know it sounds too good to be true, so I'm hoping someone will enlighten me as to why the jobs have been sitting there for awhile and why the bonus is offered. It is actually something I would be interested in doing because it might give me some information for a family situation. And, I hope I haven't broken any rules here. I was careful not to mention the location/name of the facility.

Thanks so much!!!

It's probably sitting there because $30 is not enough for one of these shops. OTOH, $80 sounds good because you will spend at least two hours, possibly three, including setting the appointment, taking the tour and writing the report.

Equal rights for others does not mean fewer rights for you. It's not pie.

Never try to teach a pig to sing. It's a waste of your time and it really annoys the pig.

Thanks, Lisa. I thought as much. Is there ever a problem with getting the report approved that you know of?
I did one of these when it was bonused to $50 total. I think that pay is more appropriate for the level of detail required in the shop. Also, it is pretty depressing. That's why I think they stay there.
Hi there, I just did one of these shops recently, with your same concerns. After completing the shop and report, it was pretty painless, so I applied for another and just got accepted for that one. One of the reasons why they have just sat there is because of the time constraint. I work full-time but was able to adjust my work day to do a 10am appointment. I know many may not have that flexibility. Part one is a recorded phone call. You have to be super consistent between the phone call and visit with your loved one you are considering it for.

The visit, for me, took a little over an hour. They ask a bunch of questions and then do a tour. I found it to be lovely and also a wake up call that I may need to sell some organs if I ever plan on having decent care in my golden years. The biggest perk, though, over all the money was the hot, fresh baked apple pie I was presented with when I was leaving. It really is a great shop and as long as you can thoroughly play the part it should be an easy $80 bucks.
I completed one for $30 in pay and a bonus of $30. Completely worth it at that point. Call takes a couple minutes and the visit is about an hour to hour and a half. For $30, I wouldn't touch it with a 10 foot pole.
I'm thinking that MysVal's shop was not an Intellishop one but rather another MSP, where the apple pies seem prevalent.
Nope, it was.... the pie was just an unexpected little surprise. Hey, I love apple pie. *shrugs* lol
