MarketForce Email-Don't shop large FF chain if already scheduled for Oct 1-2!

If you already have a shop scheduled with the largest client they have for a shop to be completed October 1-2, CHECK YOUR E-MAIL. In a very rare move, they are asking shoppers to reassign them for later in the month with no deduction in rating. They also stated that the food ordering requirements are changing. This means you need to read your CPI and shop instructions for October shops. You will be ordering different food starting this month.

I can only speculate that this may have something to do with the all day breakfast menu that goes into effect on October 6th. They probably want all the data points to be the same and are changing the ordering requirements to test the new menu. Imagine ordering a breakfast inside and a lunch at the DT.

EDIT: I have not seen a change to the food ordering requirements in the currently posted shop instructions.

My friend was able to order breakfast for dinner in September. He was all excited about it. He did complain that the drive-thru was backed up for 15+ minutes.
Wow. The things people do for food which rate about a -300 on the 1 to 100 nutritional scale...
I have shops but I don't have that "particular shop" you are referring to so I think I will be okay smiling smiley Thanks! I am assuming we are talking about the FF shop that is very popular....

Okay, I just checked my ordering requirements for one in the middle of October and the ordering requirements and food choices are the same. Unless you think I will get updated different paperwork by then? smiling smiley
I wondered why there were none of those shops listed with the MSC

They removed all of them several days ago.

They're still showing on MY board...they've been there for several days and haven't changed.

Wow. The number of people who don't understand that many people do shops with a reimbursement for the pay and not the item they're being reimbursed for.

They're probably going to start requiring us to order a *small* beverage.

I had to make a pit stop and pulled into one of said restaurants in Omaha today for a tea. It was 11:30, and the menu boards were on screensaver mode. A paper menu was at the front of the line describing combo options, but there was nothing else. I suspect that affected timings in a major way.

@OceanGirl - Different strokes for different folks. Just because you do not understand does not mean it does not make sense. There are many reasons for people eating food that you do not consider healthy. My income dropped over $1k a month from a year ago, I can use the help. Food shops alone will not pay your bills, do not replace a full time job. They supplement things, help with the bigger picture.

The better fine dining shops pay reimbursement plus $15 to $20 fees, many are reimbursement only by the way. The chronological narratives take about over an hour just to refine, once you have a template to work with. The first time it takes hours to put the chronological narrative together. Then you have to fill out the report, another hour for the average person. This means that the fast and casual fast food shops pay better based on the amount of time and effort involved.

Maybe we should put discussions of what food is healthy and what food is not on the same list as religion and politics. Adults are capable of choosing how they want to eat. Different strokes for different folks definitely.
I hadn't eaten at that chain for over 15 years before I walked in to the location closest to my house do my first shop for that MSC. I did it to get my foot in the door and didn't intend to do any more.

Then a scheduler called and offered me $40 to do another location and I was happy to oblige. And I found that I enjoy the assignments enough to do 2 or 3 bonused shops per month. I enjoy the timings and the easy reports, the free wifi, and the people watching. The food is irrelevant to me, apart from whether it is served warm or hot and looks/tastes in keeping with the company standards.

Used these shops to get my feet wet, and gain experience as a newbie. Enjoyed my drink (except when it was not the right one) and tasted a bite to check the quality.

And they were bonused, too. Eating the food is optional.
I propose we encourage people to put a note in their signature line stating whether or not they like fast food. Then we wouldn't have to hear the constant scolding about how terrible the food is, because we'd already know where they stand on the issue.

If everyone liked the same shops and hated the same shops, then none of them would get done.

Everyones situation is different. There are people here with good paying jobs and cash in the bank that are looking to trade a good report for fine dining. There are others who have an empty fridge and wallet and are doing bank and cell chops and hoping that the payment arrives so they can afford to do the next fast food shop to eat on.

Some people need to get off their high horse and know that many people that are mystery shopping are doing it out of desperation to pay the rent and power bill. Everyone should be treated here with respect and not looked down on for doing a lower paying or fast food shops. Then you need to remember that not everyone lives in a corporate gold mine like Orlando and may only have a very limited amount of shops available to them in the outlying area they live in.

I'm tired of certain people thinking they are better than the average shopper. This class mentality is not helpful. I will discuss FF shops and can discuss finer dining as well. Usually by the time someone is doing fine dining, they don't need to post here with a question and will know to go to the scheduler and the company wants utmost discretion as well. This is why those shops are not talked about.
I have a low culinary threshold. I also have excellent blood pressure, low bad cholesterol, high good cholesterol and a resting heartbeat of a much younger person. I love good burgers and french
fries, Burger King Whoppers, Subway sandwiches, and Arby's. However, I eat these foods only when I'm getting paid to do so. The rest of the month I live on stuff out of my garden.

It helps that the nearest fast food is 45 miles away.

Were you saying I committed ICA violations? As far as I know, each of these FF outlets is shopped by different MSCs. At least where I live, they are. If I said something wrong, I hope the Mod(s) will remove the violation, and that I will be forgiven my naive error.
Yes, you have several ICA violations in your post. You can edit it yourself instead of waiting for a mod to do it.
Since my son worked at Jack in the Box a few years ago, I can no longer do most of the fast food shops at MF. It's probably for the best. I sometimes got carried away and did way too many of them.

There were 0 ICA violations in that post. cease was listing a large list of fast food places he/she finds enjoyable. There was nothing in that post that linked a particular fast food place to the MSC as this discussion had turned more to FF than to the MSC. Also it is VERY possible that in Cease's area the large FF chain mentioned in this thread is done by a completely different MSC as another company has a rather large chunk of this client now.

I disagree. Mods are always commenting that we can not name the clients of past or present MSCs and several of those listed are affiliated with the MSC named in the thread title. Another forum member named a client that was not shopped in her area but once I brought it to her attention that they are shopped in other parts of the country, she quickly edited her original post. If you guys want to talk about FF and not worry about the MSC's name, you should start a new thread just about FF.
