Maritz - Product Purchase Amount when submitting an Invoice?

Started shopping for Maritz recently (sorry, MaritzCX). Most other MSCs I don't have to submit an invoice - I am automatically reimbursed for the agreed amount as long as I spent over that amount. Maritz requires an invoice and if a purchase was required, when submitting the invoice do you specify the actual amount you paid (ie $1.49) or the reimbursement amount ( ie $1.00)? I have been submitting the total receipt amount since that is what the product purchase was for. Have not received an email or a check yet so, you know...just wondering what other shoppers do.

I have done both -- or is that "either"? Anyway, never had it kicked back. Always got paid the amount they said they would reimburse. The important thing to remember is when you are invoicing, if you had more than one purchase, scan both receipts onto the same page, because you can only submit ONE scan with each invoice. I have had LOTS of things kicked back by the editors, but never had an invoice questioned.

Also, I heartily recommend making a copy of the page that comes up after you hit "submit", the page that shows the rate, any incentive, and the purchase, the total you will be reimbursed for, because when you get your paper check, if I recall correctly, it shows only the job # & the pay, and it's up to you to double check
it against what you billed. I'm expecting 6 payments on my next check, and believe you me, I will check every dime.

I learned to copy that page the hard way!

I just always put $5.00 and $1.00 no matter what I spend (that's the minimum I would spend and the maximum that they give).

I put my actual amount that I am due. If I do a gas station and they will reimburse up to $6 in gas and $1 inside, and I spend 6.02 in gas I fill in my amount for 6.00 for gas and if I only spent 0.98 inside that is the amount I request (by adding them up and requesting the total, $6.98 .) I have been told that they check the reimbursement amounts with the receipts so even if you request the wrong amount they will send the correct amount.

I find it easier to lay the receipts side by side and then snap a pic of them with my phone, then to scan them.

I always do the actual amount that I paid, knowing that although I put in $1.67, I will only be reimbursed $1.00. When I get the gas, I sometimes exceed $5, and I put in the actual amount here, like $6.47, even though I know I am only getting $5.

LOL -- I haven't learned how to take a photo with my phone, how to FIND it if I take it, or how to get it from my phone to the report.

My brain is just so full -- if I try to learn something new, I might lose something else to make room for it -- like my home address or my phone #!!!!

I'm not a total idiot, though -- I did learn how to scan them and put them into reports! LOL!!!!

Taking photos is soooo much quicker than scanner though.

I also put the actual amount spent, that is the amount on the receipt even if it is more (or less) than the approved amount. In fact, I recently did a DIY shop and there was a $1.00 authorized reimbursement. I couldn't find anything I wanted for a dollar or two but did find a $12 item, which I bought and submitted the receipt. It was questioned by an editor and I gave them my explanation. No problem.

But they only reimbursed you $1.00 and not $12.00, right?

That's correct - they reimbursed only $1.00. But I look at it as a $1.00 discount on a $12.00 tool that I can use. Something I might buy if not on a shop.
