I've done several hundred over the past 10 years. I generally do 3-5 a month. They keep getting easier and easier. We used to have to flip the pizza to take a shot, take a front shot, do the overhead shot, cut the pizza and fold up the slices for another shot, ugh. You had to wait for the pizza to cool before doing any of that and it wasn't much fun to eat after all the dissection. Now it's just an direct overshot, and it's important for all crust edges to show, no overshadowing, make sure all numbers are showing and the garlic size pepperonicini are not moved, and make sure the angle is perfect. It's not hard to do that. I have recessed lighting in my kitchen so it took quite a few photos to figure out where to take my pics initially. I sometimes do them at night which changes my lighting and I have to shoot in a different spot, but now it's a breeze. Like Sunny said, turn on the flash. If you have to move the pizza around a bit to make sure you don't have your hand and arm shadow in the photo, then that's what you have to do.
