GeoVerifications not counted in MSC profile?

I have used the GeoVerification app for approximately 12 different shops. However, even though I have entered the code in the shop report and it is verified with the green note after hitting "save", I am not seeing a number larger than zero in the "confirmed GeoVerifications" field in my profile with some MSCs that I have used the GeoVerify app in the GeoVerify field on the evaluation form (yes, this is after the reports are graded).

Anyone else experience this? Just two MSCs I see this with off the top of my head are BARE and SeeLevel.

Yes, I have had the same issue with GeoVerify. Both Bare and SeeLevel show 0 even though I have used GeoVerify quite often. I actually uninstalled the app because it appeared to be pointless but I don't know if they are still using that info and the website is incorrect.

I used to use it, but then I deleted it because the only company I was sign up with at the time had mainly cell shops. When I re-installed because another company had a "requirement" for it. I couldn't get the app to give me a code at all. I emailed my schedule for the new company, and she said that they have had shoppers reporting difficulties with the app, so they were not using the code for the time being. I haven't brought it up again since, but that was less than 6 months ago.
I have yet to see this app place me closer than 50 yards from my location despite being either in the store, or just outside the entrance.
The comparison is made to the postal address. So generally it thinks you should be located at the street. I am often 0.02 miles = 100 feet from the location. On the other hand, there is one big box computer store where I can see myself properly located on the map, but it says that I am 4 miles from the correct location. That is clearly a problem with interpreting the address.

I have never used the Geo Verify app and have never been asked to use it.
I was asked to use GeoVerify on a shop I did last night. I downloaded the app, and it worked fine at home--showed me on the map and generated a code. When I got to the store, the app wouldn't work. First I got an error message that it was unable to verify the location. I tried again a few minutes later, and the app "said" it was generating a code, then froze my phone up. So I had to make a small purchase to get a receipt for a POV. I had planned ahead in case the app didn't work, and had an item in mind that I needed anyway and didn't cost much. This particular MSC will only take a GeoVerify map and code or a receipt as POV. You can't upload a business card, brochure, or photo of the store.

I've read that a lot of people have trouble with GeoVerify. Can anyone else "verify" that? Not just that it's not always accurate, but that it plain old won't work?

There might have been one time out of 15+ where it might have had a slight crash or something, and I get a little message window that says "GeoVerify has stopped responding". But apart from that one time I've never had issues with it. I have a Samsung Android-based phone, Android version 5.0.1. I assume you have rebooted your phone since? Do you have any sort of software that doesn't let your other apps access your location?
Accuracy has been an issue from day one.,go back to OLD posts and it has been flawed.

I have a Samsung Android, but I don't know what version. I have all my location functions on and access allowed. No software on it that blocks access to my location. It worked great while I was home!

It sometimes takes a while to generate a code but it always works for me and does not freeze up. Accuracy is a little off but none of my companies have a problem with that.
GeoVerify will often fail to obtain a location inside a building, an airport, mall, etc. This is not a problem with GeoVerify, it is an issue with the phone not getting a strong GPS signal. Wait until you are outside. It sometimes takes minutes (up to 30) to get a GeoVerify code if you are in an area with a slow data connection. You don't have to wait there. Drive to your next location. It will get a correct code as long as you can see yourself in the right place on the map it generates. You can even turn off you phone, and when you turn it on again, it will return to trying to get the code for you.

On the rare occasions when GeoVerify was unable to locate me, the same thing was true of Google Maps and Map Quest. It was generally a GPS signal strength issue. Less often, the phone gets confused. Just like desktop and laptop computers need to be rebooted once in awhile, so do the processor cores in your smart phone. Anytime your smartphone is acting squirrelly in some way, before you get frustrated and smash it to the ground, restart it.

Thinking it might not work because I was inside the building, I went out to my car and sat with my door open, freezing to death! That time it did say "obtaining code," but it was taking forever, so I just forgot about it. I didn't realize that I could leave and start on my way home and that it would still generate the proper code. I'll have to try again next time.
