Intelli-Shop Assisted Living Shops proof reader demands more and more and more...

I have completed several of these shops, both recorded and written, and never have experienced an issues until now. It seems the proof-reader is demanding more and more details, beyond whats asked on the report, and repetitive questions which were already answered in my narrative. My report is being edited, with paragraphs deleted and requests for more info. to be submitted in it's place. This is very strange. 3X my report sent back for various explanations that were already provided. Anyone else experience this ?

I don't see how an editor can expect you to provide information that wasn't required! And, it seems as if many, many of us are encountering editors who ask for details in the narrative that have already been provided in the narrative! Are MSCs overworking their editors so that they work so quickly they don't read everything? Or are they hiring editors who can't digest information and can only "see" something if it's in exactly the order in which the report is structured and understand it only if written in five-word sentences?

Perhaps their proof readers/editors are on a power trip or afraid of being canned, so they throw it on the shoppers to make it appear as though they are thorough and doing their jobs above and beyond. Now they are threatening to cancel my report as " incomplete " which is ridiculous, but their prerogative.
So glad it's not just me. I turned in a 7,000 word narrative yesterday (and I'm a slow writer so you can imagine how long that took.) I write professionally and am published. That doesn't make me perfect, but it does speak to my abilities. I got questions from an editor an hour ago that were mostly answered -- with a note that she needed them in the next two hours. Guess what? I don't sit at my computer all day waiting for you to ask me dumb questions! I'm already into this shop for about a dollar an hour, and now you expect me to jump at your beck and call? This company is moving to the bottom of my list,

dude, i had the same experience doing the same shop with the same msc like 3 weeks ago. i edited it 4 times before it went through. before that shop(and since) i've never had to make more than one edit. the funny thing is he/she complimented the final review in the comment section. let me guess, you didn't say enough about the "signatures"?

Yep that was the problem I had when I did one of these in December. That shop was the first one on my TFP list, I will never ever do it again.
The proof-reader/editor has apparently been over-ruled. Hoping there's nothing more but got to give it some serious thought if I want to go through this again.
Are you talking about proofreader3 by chance? I've had nothing but issues with them. They accused me of falsifying a picture. I had so much evidence to back me up it was ludicrous. I ended up calling the corporate office. They apologized and said they were training proofreaders. They corrected my score to a 10. Next day, another report was accepted, but graded with a 9. This time the proofreader stated there were a few spelling errors. Once again I was on the phone to corporate. There was ONE word misspelled. The word was King Soopers (grocery store). OMG. I was livid! Corporate said they would correct my score, after apologizing for the same proofreader, but it hasn't been changed yet. I'm like, .....whatever!

You have to love that. Why is that the first thing that some jump to? "The shopper must be lying." How about instead asking a question to clear things up? What happened to manners?

Intellishop was always picky but anything 7-10 was fine. Now there rates have gone even lower than the already former low and you need to wait forever for the job to bonus to a fair pay. Sounds like they are getting even pickier on the editing. Sounds like they have gotten too big and don't give a @#$%& about their shoppers. Email response has also become almost non existent. All their phones go to voicemail and no return calls. Don't expect to be doing work for them more than maybe 4 times a year. I also read somewhere on their site that they claim to have never lost a client.

Funny you should mention that " you must be lying ' response from the proof-reader. In a recent past similar shop, I was also told in writing that I will be suspected of falsifying the report. Never mind that I geo-verified this location, have a top rating, submitted proof of visit, and more. This was insulting and audacious. I hope if there are Intelli-Shop peeps lurking here, they fix this and quick. They are not the only MSC in town and I will not tolerate this level of abuse and insult.
Why are you still shopping for them? I had the same results and told them I would never work for them again if I got the same editor and I won't. The best fix is for everyone who complains, including myself should take ourselves out of their system.
Bad editors or not, I'm not going to cut off my nose by deactivating.

I just wonder why all of the shoppers who complain don't just stop taking their shops. I did not deactivate them. I still get great bonuses from them, I only do those shops which are far and few between. I did state that I would not do such and such a shop if I had the same insulting, calling me a liar, editor. It appears from this forum that the same editor is still there. SS4U, COMystery,
I was responding to this line in particular, "............should take ourselves out of their system." In my mind that means deactivating. I only average a few assignments per year with Intellishop and make sure the pay is commensurate with the work, i.e. well-bonused or incredibly easy. I've always been of the opinion ICs should not take any assignments with ridiculous shop/reporting requirements and low pay such as the shops paying $9 for two interactions.

Agree with Lisa on this! I'd think it would make more sense to "turn off" e-mails (if Intellishop allows that) or shuttle them to a separate e-mail folder, and just stop taking shops, instead of deactivating. But, if a shopper feels strongly enough on "principle" that he/she would never in a million years do another shop for them, then I guess it makes sense. But, you never know. Something could happen with the company that makes it highly desirable to shop for, and if you've deactivated yourself, it might be tough to get reinstated....

I just will not perform those shops which this particular editor seems to be. I have not had any trouble with Intelli-Shop other than that.
Unfortunately, I love the filler gas station jobs they offer. I got a different editor for the last few I have completed. That scheduler was awesome. He sent me an email out of the blue thanking me for my hard work. My issue has never been with the MSC, just Mz. Proofreader3. Therefore, I decided to approach corporate with my issues. Had they not overwritten the editors grade AND apologized I would feel differently. Their about to publish the March shops and I will no doubt select my quota of 10 shops again. Please God, keep Proofreader3 away from my work!
I think they have a problem with at least one of their proof readers/editors. To call a shopper a liar is reprehensible, to say the least, and UN-professional. Hoping Intelli-shop cleans this up and quick.

At the end of the year, I was making really good pay with Intellishop car shops. Now, they are low-balling the same exact shops. I emailed with a friendly counter offer 2 days ago for a couple of these, noting that I did many of them 2 months ago for 3-4 times what they are offering AND I have great scores. They turned me down flat. Ok, I guess until the pay goes back up I'm on "hiatus" because I still don't start my car for less than $25-$30. (I do this part-time)
I used to do a lot of their car shops but at $40 a shop. Now they wont go pass $20 and either reject that offer or ignore the email. so I don't bother. I hope they lose their car shops to another MSP like Monterey.

Intellishop has LONG been on this road to MS hell. Their line about shoppers being so important to their success is just pillow-talk, doublespeak, apple-polishing. They are in a race to the bottom, and have made bad decisions at a corporate level for years.
I just performed my first narrative only shop and it was a tight turnaround. I thought I used all the proper terminology and followed the directions. I received the rudest response from the proofreader. However, they were valid on some points. BUT I edited and rewrote 3 3,000 word narratives right away!!!
They have me a 6... A 6!!! I've had only 10's at smaller companies. And also, they took points away since they had to contact me... Umm, it's their job. And was told that I didn't follow the narrative structure they wanted. If they want the same exact sentences, why not just ask questions??? I'm new there and this will kill my rating... Annoying.
I'll see if I can find out who will be proofing in the future. And skip whoever didn't appreciate my shop

BTW- another shopper was there with a NOTEPAD!!! OMG. So obvious...

Intellishop is a strange beast to put it nicely. Here i why you got a 6 first off they deducted two points for having to contact you. Then they deducted two points for spelling and grammar being really bad in their opinion. Any grade of 7 to 10 will not hurt you or affect your ability to get jobs with them. One 6 will not hurt you either. Most professional shoppers who still work with them have learned to pay no attention to the grade as long as they get paid. Also as a shopper who used to do a ton of work with them they have become so low paying and unwilling to bonus or respond to emails or phone messages I have done zilch over the last 6 months. IMHO there are better MSPS in the sea.

When I started, Intellishop was one of my mainstay companies. As I've become more experienced, I rely less and less on them, now only doing 3-4 shops per year for them.

If the other person was there at the same time as you, it is also unlikely they were a mystery shopper so there's proof "regular shoppers" take notes.
