Maritz Petroleum Shops

I've been a Maritz petroleum shopper [client hint deleted by mod] for some time now, developing a regular route of shops that are assigned to me per their shopper rules (every other month). I've always checked off that "yes", I wish to be reassigned these shops per their rules and have checked off the week in which I wish them to be assigned.

Over the past few months, I've noticed that the shops I've requested to do again per their rules are no longer reassigned to me. Granted, it has only been one or two for the month and I've not seen them listed upon the "Find new shops" section for the month in which they would be reassigned, but it is somewhat strange.

I know that these shops are not of the quarterly type as they are not independents as the quarterlies always seem to be, they are chain types.

As I commented in another string, I would often (monthly) receive what I considered an email blast reminder to all shoppers of this particular petroleum client regarding an inspector visiting shops and finding "long term violations" at the shops.

Just recently, a shop that had disappeared from my route, reappeared on the "Find new shops" section, not in the month I would do it, mind you, but still, it did reappear. Plus I've seen shops that I know were route shops for other shoppers also appear on that list.

I'm just wondering if there is something happening. Could it be me? I've always been diligent in performing these shops and have heard from their people that I am one of their better shoppers.

But still?

I do those shops and sometimes they're reassigned and some times they are not. It's not you, it's them. And I don't have a solution.

Mary Davis Nowell. Based close to Fort Worth. Shopping Interstate 20 east and west, Interstate 35 north and south.
Don't they rotate shops out like all other MSCs trying to prevent MSs from getting spotted? When I asked to perform a few shops during the same day I was told "we look over the list to see if we can rotate them out to someone who has been one of our dependable shoppers and see if their ready to perform it instead of dropping four shops on one person. I felt that was totally classy, they were wanting to see if their "regular" and faithful shoppers who passed the allotted time period wanted one of their shops, I like that!

These are reveal shops so you do not have to be a real mystery. At the end of the report, the shopper has the option to do the same location every other month. They are automatically reassigned to you. Easy breezy.
Maritz does several different petroleum companies. In my area, there are 4 different companies, I regularly do 3 of them and less occasionally the 4th one. One of them is reasonable at base pay if you are passing by one. I do another by accepted routes at the right pay rate, or bidding on them and sometimes I get a route or the portion I ask for (some routes span 3 states, toll highways, and toll bridges across the Hudson River and I can't imagine anyone doing them for the base rate offered for some routes with 50 locations).

The experienced clerks just smile when I ask for a receipt for a $0.99 can of soda. When I return with the authorization letter, they are invariably wearing the proper uniform and name tag. A few smile at me when I enter and ask for the gas receipt - they have already printed it and have it ready for me. They can't change the fact that the pump didn't give me a receipt. One location reminds me as soon as I enter the small store that they keep the paper towels inside due to theft problems (before I have said a word or presented the authorization letter).

Shopping Southeast Pennsylvania, Delaware above the canal, and South Jersey since 2008
