Am I banned or paranoid?

I did a job for Imyst and a few Prophet companies now the same places that had constant work no longer have work. Am I paranoid or do they block you if you do a bad job. Ive never had work returned, missed an assignment or had any problems. It just worries me that these companies had constant work now its been months and I see nothing available.

Work is never a constant flow for many companies. They do a round of shops in my area and then go dark for sometimes three months. It's not unusual for a small company to only have a quarterly shop in any area.

This is why you should sign up with more and more companies. Never expect any one company to ever have enough work to keep you doing something.

Scanman1 is right msps have shops and don't have shops in random waves. Thats why my top 5 msps are different every quarter. The full time shoppers or those who make any decent amount of money of mystery shopping are signed up with at least 150 MSPS

Shopping Western NY, Northeast and Central PA, and parts of Ohio and West Virginia. Have car will travel anywhere if the monies right.
There is also a rotation for many jobs, sometimes a month, sometimes 6 months or longer. It could be that you are not eligible to do many of the jobs you did and so you cannot see them. Signing up with more companies is a good idea.
mrdennis,
How many companies are you signed up with?

Based in MD, near DC
Shopping from the Carolinas to New York
Have video cam; will travel

Poor customer service? Don't get mad; get video.
Okay. In order to assure yourself of a steady flow of options, I strongly suggest that you double the number of MSCs that you are signed up with. Also, remember that most long format video shops (new homes, apartment, assisted living, car sales and others) mean that you cannot ever return to the same location or (for a few car dealers or apartment communities) have a rotation as long as three years. That is why doing a lot of that sort of video means traveling farther from home. As a video shopper, I search a 200 mile radius from my home and plan routes to cover travel costs. Every now and then I even do a 2+ week trip from DC to Florida to hit new video opportunities.

Also, where are you located? Some shoppers might give you a few good suggestions based on that.

What kinds of shops have you not yet tried? How long have you shopped? How many shops per week do you aim for?

Another factor to throw in there would be finding out which platforms these MSC's you're referring to are currently using. For the MSC's I regularly shop, many have jumped ship from Prophet to Shopmetrics or iSecretShop.

Shopping the Greater Denver Area, Colorado Springs and in-between in Colorado. 33 year old male and willing to travel!
Yea I have been at it since January, so I have not exhausted my state yet. I am content with Florida for now. However I am open to doing routes outside of Florida this summer after I have a few months experience under my belt. If you know of any other good companies im open to hearing about them.
