Franchise Compliance

I completed a phone shop for them in mid March. I was paid at month's end in April. I am signed up to do a better shop for them for this month. I hope they keep up with that on this one, as it requires upfront cash paid out by me of about $125 for a service, one I really could use, but probably wouldn't do just now. I had read about payment issues from them, but my one and only experience with them was this, and it was paid as stated.

My last shop with them was hilarious. I was calling to make an appointment to have my carpets cleaned (soo needed it) and some guy answers the phone on the fifth ring with a very gruff and sleepy sounding hello. I asked if I had called the wrong number. He answered that I had the right place but the economy sucked and they closed up last week then he hung up. - I still got paid.
I forgot about them, but, don't remember having a problem...been a long time.

Live consciously....
one shop for them... no problems here... really simple phone call shop... paid on time...

shopping north west PA and south west ny
I've only done one for them - a carpet cleaning - nice scheduler, very easy to work with. I was nervous about it - about $140 out of pocket - but they paid right on time. I would work for them again.
You just reminded me, I applied to this company in March! Signed in to look, and unfortunately, they don't have anything in my area. :-(
They are noted for having the carpet cleaning shops and I have found them both friendly and prompt with payments.

Years ago I got a shop with them that was much more valuable to me than the carpet cleaning, so I check back regularly to see if they have anything new.
Yes, when certain things happen, I look for FC shops. I never seem to get it coordinated right . . . I have done only one shop for them and it was memorable and, in retrospect, fun. Payment was prompt. Helpfulness from the company was nice as there were some real oddball things that came up with trying to submit the report and collateral.
Dee,
This was the first company I had to hunt down payment from. It was many years ago and maybe it really was an error on their part. My check was always getting lost in the mail or sent back to them, no one ever answered the phone in the office or my emails. It was about $125 outlay on my part. I finally did get paid but it took months of hounding. Then I would get calls everyday from the place that cleaned the carpets wanting to sell me duct cleaning. My carpet didnt look much better when they were done either. This is on my never again list. Glad others have had a better experience though.
Just wanting to vent and bring current information to the forum for this company. It continues to be a company to steer clear of. I wish I had belonged to this forum before, I never would have accepted the assignment(s). I did a estimate with the carpet cleaning company and they took 2 months to pay $20 - But they paid. Then in mid January I did the cleaning (which was $320.00 total) I was to be paid 120.00 as reimbursement and 19 WEEKS later I get no replies from 4 different account managers or Shadow Shoppers. So it continues, steer clear of any jobs of FC. I guess my next step is the BBB too. Besides this Franchise Company, I have done secret shopping, merchandising, and auditing jobs that I have enjoyed and been paid by most all in a timely fashion.
Best of luck to you Charx. I did have to contact BBB and make NUMEROUS e-mails begging for payment. I will simply have nothing to do with them again. There was a nice female scheduler who kept telling me she had no idea why the male owner of the company refused to pay. When they did pay, 4 months later, the check was conveniently dated two moths before that. Hmmmm, was it sitting around for two months before they sent it, or was it post dated to try and protect their backsides? They are rated a "C" by the BBB, but they should be rated "F."
