I believe every week. I will warn you that you had better read all the requirements for their shops, because to do their shops you have to pay
for any of the shops out of your pocket and get reimbursed after you send
in the online report. Example they have a job that pays $70.00 plus $5.00 bonus for getting it in early. Now this particular job the event costs $59.95 and you have to pay with a credit card, the parking will be no less than $7.00 or more. You have to send in receipts for both the event and parking. so total this up
say $60.00 plus $7.00= $67.00 that you will be reimbursed for. Meaning you get paid
a whopping $3.00. But how much did it cost you in gas, how much is this paying towards you computer internet service, printer ink, paper and most important your time? I didnt mention, 9 times out of 10, it is mandatory that you take someone
with you. (So you dont stand out in a crowd)
My opinion is that these type of shops are not shops, but rather a heist to
up someones business.
If you have out of town company or the kids are out of school and you are going to
go anyway, maybe. But the other shops they have require you to purchase 2 -3 tickets to different shows at the same place, 2 food purchases from 2 different vendors, plus buy something from the gift shop, and or make a donation to the museum.
It certainly sounded great money, at first, not when you stop and calculate
what you are actually making. Myself I cant pay bills or anything else with
what they pay.
Good Luck
You seem to be having a bad day, seibahbah. EVERYTHING you posted today is a rant about some company or another.

I like AA. To each their own. They have some shops I would not consider, for they are places I would not choose spend money, hence the reimbursement would not be worth my time. But there are other shops that don't require any cash outlay and pay $50 plus a bonus. Were I wanting to go somewhere and the reimbursement level was appropriate, I would have no problems doing it. It is no different than a fine dining reimbursement. If you don't want to eat there to begin with, then a reimbursement for a $200 dinner is not going to matter. If you do, it is a tax free extravagance that adds value to your life. AA is no different in their reimbursement shops.

I enjoyed the work I have done with this company. I normally would not have put out the money if I didn't know I would get reimbursed. My kids had fun so did I. Great experience all around.

And Dee, you seem to have something to say about everything anyone comments on. Bad day, no way. I give credit where it is due, I broke it down to what is first out of pocket ( I never understood why tickets werent supplied for such events, why the MS have to put up the bill first.) Versus what is the end result payment for services rendered.
Speaking whats on ones mind, is never a popularity contest.
Very few companies will front ANYTHING for shops purely because they have so little trust that shoppers will not flake or turn in unacceptable work. Definitely a shopper beware situation. And yes, we all have our opinions seibahbah. If the shops don't work for you, then don't sign up for them! That is the beauty of Independent Contractor status! If you don't like the company, don't do shops for them! That is the beauty of Independent Contractor status!

Flash it most certainly is, as is with the beauty of being born and raised in this free USA.
Flash do you not sometimes wonder , why the clients do not trust their employees and have Independent Contractors shall we say "spy" on them, and yet do not trust the "spies" either. To the ridiculous amount of service they require for the pay?
I have somewhat of an idea perhaps, the pay scale the schedulers, well marketing companies that sell their clients on the professional level the MS are trained at, brings in from what we provide. Is a good deal of monetary. Would you agree?
Would you actually say they do a 50/50 split with us?
Certainly some schedulers more than others get away with treating the MS as mere peons, while others are sweet as lambs, both types employed by the same company.
In the long run it still comes down to when dealing with either one, we must
remain in character of a professional and not let the words or actions of the
schedulers keep us from being in control.
And as you say "If you dont like the company, dont do the shops" In my comments/rants I have included the information of ending the contract with such.
It does not mean that I will keep my big mouth shut about them, given credit where due and no stars if not.
You have a great evening, loved hearing from you and sharing. Take care
Seibahbah, you have some pertinent and valuable information. However, your delivery leaves a lot to be desired. Are you trying to alienate people here? Because if you are, you're doing a great job!
I do a couple of regular jobs for AA in my area, and appreciate them. They are not at all hard to do, even though they are detailed. My daughter and a friend get to do an expensive activity that I could not ordinarily afford. And it's reimbursement primarily, so it won't be taxable.

I don't do a lot of jobs for the $$$, as for the most part, I can't seem to manage to make much (kudos to those of you that DO!) But I get a lot of "Lifestyle enhancement".

And please, friends, let's think before we post. If it doesn't really need to be said, and directed toward someone personally, maybe we should wait a minute before we post a comment. Just calling for some civility here!
