Maritz?

I finally signed up with Maritz. They have shops that coordinate with my routes.

I've already seen they require detail, not an issue.

My biggest worry is the 12 hour reporting time frame. Are they flexible if working routes or do I need to invest in an extra battery for my laptop? My factory battery lasts about 2 1/2 hours.

I ask because I shop day routes. McD's did not work the other day, but I still had 24 hours to finish my reports.from the first one. It wasn't a huge deal until my eyes and brain said no more at 4:30am. A 12 hour reporting frame doesn't work well for me.

I'm going to make sure I can tether my phone for a mobile hot spot before I take on any work that is far, farther and too far away

I would be extremely thankful for any insights of how to work for this company and get my shops approved the first time around.

FYI, Maritz big home improvement shops all usually have Wi-Fi that is accessable from the parking lot. Since laptops don't draw a whole lot of power, I just got a little adapter that plugs into my cig lighter, and do the paperwork online in the parking lot.

Good question. I always get mine in the 12 hours and have never asked for more time. I do know on the routes they assign they give you 24 hours so it's entirely possible that they will work with you on that.

Call them and ask. They are very reasonable compared to other companies. They are willing to give fair gas bonuses as well.

That's great information! I stopped last week to finish a couple of reports at McD's and the free Wifi didn't work. I ended up working on reports

I'll try this again, Coffee Queen and Andy2. Thank you for the information you provided. I had time to contact the company today and they explained that they are willing to help out route shoppers.

I'm the shop I completed today meets their standards. The guidelines were well written which made writing the report easy.

The company has shops that are relatively local to my location and the pay is decent for my area.

Seems like your question has been answered, but just wanted to mention chromebooks. I bought one a few months ago for $150 and the battery lasts for 6-9 hours depending on what I'm doing. 6 hours if I'm streaming netflix continuously. If I'm doing a route I don't even bother taking my charger. I tether it to my phone or use wifi.

Thank you about the chrome book information. My old laptop is on it's death bed and I really need my Netflix; fix. i have no issues buying something for $150. I will check these out in the next couple of weeks.
