Maritz Site Question

On June 29, I accepted my first two shops for Maritz. I did them the same day. I did the debrief online that night.
I have received no communication from Maritz regarding the shops aside from a message for each on the afternoon of the 29th that they were overdue. I responded to these messages to verify that all was well and pointed out that I had just taken the assignments that morning, they were a three hour drive (each way) from my house and that I'd complete the debrief before going to bed that night. I have not received a response through either email or the Maritz web page. However, as I checked back in, I noticed that the shops no longer appear on my page - either under current shops or completed shops. It's like they don't exist. I found the shops through KSS and my record of them still appears on that page. I sent a message to Maritz through the website, but don't anticipate hearing back right away as it is a holiday weekend.

Is this normal? Am I missing something simple?

I have heard that they seem computer illiterate and do not respond to emails. Call them, though you do need to know which team the assignment was for.

Maritz is known for not responding to emails. They run their business using telephones. Try calling them the next time. Once you complete a job, it usually still shows up in the log as "No Action Required". Eventually it disappears. I think that happens once it is edited and accepted. No, you will not get an email telling you that it was alright. If something is "wrong" when they edit it, it becomes "Overdue" and you will probably get an email. Open the shop form, and respond as required. Generally, only the relevant portion of the shop can be edited or relevant photos attached to the required place.

Don't forget to submit the invoice for each shop or you will not get paid. You have 14 days after performing the shop to submit the invoice. After that, it disappears but some people have reported being able to get paid for for shops they forgot to invoice by calling them on the phone.

It sounds like I need to give them a call... I was going to submit the invoice, but as I can't find the shop at all, I can't invoice it - I don't have the proper reference number...

You need to keep track of the job numbers. That is all that appears on the check stub when you get paid. Search your email - they always send an email listing new shops when they are assigned to you and the email includes the job number, client, and address.

Here is the message I get when I tried to invoice by the job numbers in the email:

The value for column 'ShopperId' in table 'uspGetVisit' is DBNull.

If you got the shop through KSS, did you e-mail the KSS scheduler? I have done a lot of work for Maritz over the years, and the use of KSS is fairly recent and has changed the way they are doing business. Most of the KSS-scheduled Maritz shops say

"**VERY IMPORTANT - All communication regarding this shop MUST flow through your KSS scheduler. This includes password re-sets for the client site, any issues related to the quiz on the client site for this shop, extension requests, cancellations, etc.**"

Did you e-mail the KSS scheduler? If not, I would e-mail that scheduler immediately, and, since it's into the weekend, cc Lorrie Kern to try to expedite.

You should also have the applicable job number written on any POV.

Since this was performed through KSS, my comment may not be germane, but here goes:

If you filed your report on the Maritz website (especially so in the last 14 days) do as follows:

1 Go to the Maritz website and open it up (enter your shopper ID and password).
2 Your home page should open up. In the upper left hand corner under Home is a list of tabs. Click on My Current Shops.
3 Presuming you have filed your reports and they are no longer there, look at the My Current Shops header. To its right in smaller font are 2 selections: View Completed Shops and Submit An Invoice. Click on the View Completed Shops tab.
4 The shops you have performed in the last 14 days should show up along with the Visit ID, shop description and date the shop was performed.
5 If they are there, No Worries! Your shop has obviously been entered and edited. Make sure you write down the Visit ID number and the date the shop was performed. Keep that as part of your record. Its very helpful when you are paid or if you have questions regarding it.

If you have followed those instructions and find nothing, be sure to call (Do Not Email!) KSS and/or Maritz on Tuesday, July 5. I doubt if anyone is there today.

Why? There is only one gas station client that I do for them for which this is a requirement. Do you do this for your own record keeping? I print the first page (only) of the assignment and staple all receipts to it. Writing the number on each receipt or anything else that I am supposed to collect as POV would be needless work IMHO.

The message you got on the afternoon of the 29th stating that they were overdue was probably system generated. Sometimes if you haven't passed the quiz yet that will happen as well. I haven't done but one shop through KSS so I don't have that procedure memorized but it looks like you've been given some good advice above.

This may be a new requirement for several clients. Several of their shops for different clients now require the job number and the date on all POV. I just did a couple of bank shops, for two different banks. Both required that the date and job number be written on each of the photographed POV. When I did a similar shop for one of the banks last year, writing the date and job number was not required although now it is.

I they have one bank in my area (very infrequently) that requires the VID on the business card; I did one this year. The two Big Box home improvement store do not require anything on the receipt. The supermarket I do regularly does not require anything on the receipt. 2 of the 4 gas station clients that I do for them do not require anything written on the receipt, so in my mind, writing anything on a receipt has not been a general requirement. The vast majority of receipts I submit to them do not require anything written on them.

And it gets more interesting... This evening, I got a call back from "administration" at Maritz. I was told that my shops got cancelled after I submitted it. However, she had no idea why. She told me to try to call again tomorrow so I could speak with somebody else. These shops are a three hour drive (each way) from my house and were $60 each. I am not pleased.
