Very pleased with Intellishop, and question about asking for bonuses.

I recently accepted and completed two shops for this company. The guidelines were very clear and easy to follow. The shops took 10-15 mins each, and the reports were concise and shorter that those from many other MSC. I used a voice-to-text app to do the narrative, and after editing that a bit manually in Word, copy and pasted it into the reports.

With both shops, I received a 10/10 rating and a nice note within 24 hours saying "Thank you for your report! A score of 10/10 has been given because you followed all of the shop's guidelines and submitted a complete report that was immediately able to be sent to the client. Thanks again, and keep up the great work!"

Payment was prompt (less than 30 days). The only downside is that I do wish they paid a bit more. Both shops only paid $10, while I felt they were worth at least $18. Being a new shopper with them, I did not want to start out by asking for bonuses when I had no history with them yet. Has anyone had any luck/experience negotiating bonuses with Intellishop?

So far, for me, a pretty good MSC to work for.

So nice to read a positive post! Don't hesitate to ask for bonuses -- but chances of getting reasonable bonuses with this company are pretty slim. They often offer me $12 for a 200 mile round-trip! But the shops are easy, and, like you said, reports simpler than with other MSCs. Do have a REASON for requesting the
bonus, not just "it's not enough pay". Sometimes they will offer small bonuses on a group of shops in the same area, and that makes it worth my while to pick them up if my route takes me to that area.

Also, ask the scheduler for the shop directly for the bonus.
I do love the editors at Intellishop. I have only gotten a bonus once for them. I did not ask for it, it was already offered on the job board. I like their jobs and they are pretty straight forward and the guidelines are easy to follow. The pizza ones are great. I shop at 2 pizza places regularly that are right on my way home from my full time job. I know some folks on this forum don't like to use the word "free" when talking about items you get when doing a shop, so I will say this instead---- WILL WORK FOR FOOD!
I have had a mixed experience with Intellishop. Some shops are easy and go right through to payment. But I have had several times that were infuriating.

One was the pizza shop, which I had done twice before. It was rejected because they said the photo wasn't clear enough, but it was just what they asked for and exactly how I'd submitted it previously. So I was out the price of the pizza. I complained here recently about another shop, one that targeted an apartment employee. She didn't show up for the tour I scheduled, so instead of that counting against her, my shop, on which I'd already spent time talking to her on the phone and driving there, was canceled with no payment.
I liked Intellishop until this morning.....II am scheduled to do a shop tomorrow and went to look at the guidelines. A screen came up telling me to click on a link, which I did and the link took me back to the same screen. I then checked the shop report, but that tells me to check the guidelines - which I can't see. Ok, I email the scheduler.

-She replies to use another browser. (That's not an option on the iPad. )
-I email back and she replies to check the shop report.
-I respond again and send screen prints, showing where the shop report sends you to the nonexistent guidelines.
-She replies to see the shop report
- I reply that I sent screen prints!!! Cancel the assignment if you can't get me guidelines.
Urrrggggg!l
You can use more than one browser on an iPad. I used Google Chrome because bookmarks and passwords are synced across the tablet, PC and my iPhone.

Intelli-shop offers bonuses toward the end of the month when they have to close out their shops. You can just go to the job board and see the bonuses being offered.

I just picked one up today as a matter of fact.

I did a credit union shop for them and it was very easy( asked for a bonus too). I think (IIRC)I did an oil change shop too, another very easy shop. It was bonused and I got a 60.00 synthetic oil change.
I won't touch an intellishop shop without a bonus. None of their shops are worth even close to base rate. Hard if not impossible to get a hold of on phone or email and they rarely reply to either voicemail or email. Editors who nit pick or just plain make up stuff to lower rating and justify there job not that it bothers me as I can still get any job I want with bonus most of the time. Most of the reports are easy narrative wise. I just don't feel like the hassle so do little work for them anymore. 5 years ago they were one of my favorites. In 5 years the paint shop will pay $1 at the rate they are going.

Shopping Western NY, Northeast and Central PA, and parts of Ohio and West Virginia. Have car will travel anywhere if the monies right.
I'm back with another Intelli-shop complaint. On Friday, I tried to do a phone shop that had to be recorded. The phone was never picked up. I tried again an hour later. Still nothing. Unless there is a recorded call on the form, it won't submit even though there is response area for if the phone call wasn't answered. I emailed the scheduler. No response. I emailed again today and got a canned response saying my shop is overdue since I didn't record a call. Ugh.
Who are you responding to winemaker? I don't see any posts stating someone worked two hours for $10. I assumed when the OP said both of their shops paid $10 they meant it was $10 each. Perhaps, I misinterpreted.

Yes mine were $10 each, and in total with driving time, the shop itself and the report, each took about an hour. Less than kids flipping burgers at Mickey Dee's make. Again, I'm a new shopper with them, so not complaining exactly, but now unwilling to do further shops for such low pay.
Barb, leave a message to complete your shop. In the report, state the outgoing message details, and the message that you left. Your report will be accepted and you'll get paid.

I had a shop for them not long ago, and that's what I did.

If the phone is never answered, she cannot leave any message. I always allow 12 rings, just in case!
I'm sooooo mad. Not only am I not getting paid, I now have a 1/10 score and the message about it just says, 1/10 **IMPORTANT** Your report has been excluded due to non-completion. I have tried contacting both the shop phone number and the scheduler three times. And all for what was to be a quick call for $7!

Does anyone know a manger to email at Intelli-shop about non-communicative schedulers. A similar incident happened the week before when the shop scenario (revealed only after you accept it) made it seem like you had to give your name for the place I was calling to check where I was on a waiting list. Clearly, I wasn't going to be on the list. No response to my question about that one either.
When you call have you asked for any other schedulers?

I almost forgot. If you got the scoring email from an editor you can also try responding to them. Some do pay attention.

Yes, you did....the OP said the payment ($20) and I conservatively estimated the time needed (roadtime, shoptime, reporttime) as 4 hours, and well, it's not a very good wage.

The OP also said the shops to 10-15 minutes with short, concise reports. To me that would not equate to an hour or more per report. I guess drive time could be a factor if he drove straight from home to do one shop, back home then out again. I never think in those terms because most of my shops are on routes.

It's Intellishop. I'd just lick the wound and quit shopping for them. I'm too lazy to check, but I'm pretty sure there is no company discussed here that ditches out on payment more than they do. Be glad you're only out the time.

Now scheduling travel shops for the day after Christmas through mid-January.
