I Guess I'll Have To Call Maritz

After downloading and reviewing the latest updates (for October), I noticed that the gas station award program is back. There is the award to be given to the GS employee who asks for or offers the card and there is a sheet to leave behind if the employee does not ask. If they ask, I am suppose to get the employee's name, address, telephone number and email address.

Okay, are those enough clues so that you know to which program I refer?

Here is my problem: When I review the shops questions, there is not a space to provide any of these details. It does ask if the employee mentioned or asked about the program, but no space to enter detail if I was asked. I suppose I could add the detail in the comment section. Yet when the program was up last spring, there was a specific area on the report to insert the employee info.

I guess I have to call (no email!).

Wow I just noticed that this was added again to. Didn't they give us a higher commission last time for all the printing it requires? From what I remember it went up $2/shop last time and now no changes. That really sucks cause it does require a lot of ink and paper.

To answer your question, I'm sure it will have a place in the report to enter their information, but calling won't hurt nothing either.
Just a slight glitch, they say. There is now the area where the employee information needs to be inputted. Good thing too. The new month begins tomorrow.

About the additional pay. I don't see that either.
You enter the employee information when you debrief. It is near the end of the report. Same promo as the over the summer. There is an award letter that you give to them which is listed with the rest of the paperwork.

In fairness to them.... It went up $2 a shop last time... and never went back down.
I've done over 200 of these visits and not once have they ever asked me for "the card". Just in case, I have printed out two of the "good" ones, but am only really printing the other ones. I'm also doing these shops in an area I have never been to before this quarter, so no one will be recognizing me.

Yeah I rarely get asked for it either so I never print as many of the "good" ones either. We will see how it goes. I picked up a bunch of quarterly shops to so I don't know them as well as my regular stores. I thought it went up to $14.50/shop for those three months but I was not sure, I do my record keeping a different way. We will see how it goes.

Actually the promo is SIMILAR to the previous one but there ARE changes. You need to read the XXXXXX XXXX AWARD INSTRUCTION LETTER file more closely.

It's finally happened! I was caught so off-guard when the cashier said the magic words it took a second to comprehend what was actually happening!

And the funny thing is... after rewarding her, she told me she just started last week and this was her first day working by herself.
LOL! I noticed that for the first month after the promo stopped everyone was asking but then was also asking where their gift card was. Then the next time around I noticed that no one was asking again. I don't start mine til next week, so will be interesting to see how many people actually mention the program. Hopefully not to many, I have 78 assigned, plan on printing 80 of the leave behind and 60 of the reward paper. I am wondering if I should just start with like 20 of the reward paper and see how the first day goes. But knowing my luck, everyone will ask for it and I'll be scrambling to find a Fed-Ex Office somewhere.
I've printed out a few more. Had another one ask now. Then another, who didn't ask me, all of the sudden started asking people when I was in station after the reveal, probably thinking that might help. The message seems to be out right now.
I have completed about 50 shops and 8 people have asked.

Wow I cannot believe the amount of ink all this paperwork takes. I have gone through 4 cartridges, 2 black and 2 color, just for this month of shops. I am using the draft setting for low quality prints, I really think they should up the pay when we have to do these, just for the ink alone. Does anyone know a cheap place to make copies?? The cheapest I have found is $0.11 for black and white, and with these shops and the other Maritz gas station shops I am going to be paying $40 just for the paperwork.
I suggest investing in a laser printer. Try the resale shops like Goodwill or Salvation Army.
Check again, thre is a new Collection form, its now 5 pages because of the added Employee name/address/ email and phone #. Make sure you are using the Q4 forms. it is there if you check. I have done and reported 6 of these already. it is there!

Shopping Southern Georgia, Valdosta, Waycross, Quitman, Thomasville and North Central Florida I-10 & I-75.
Rather than use their collection form, I use my detailed one page work sheet then transfer the info when I debrief. Each type of shop has its own worksheet. If the shop is modifide for a new quarter, I update my worksheet. Bit of a pain to set up but makes the shops and debriefing quicker and easier.
