They are finally offering a reimbursement for their big box electronic store shops.

The minimum purchase is $9.99, and you are reimbursed up to $12 for one item.

I think that this reimbursement is specific to this particular scenario. For this scenario, they are not really interested in how well the product was sold, just in finding out about whether a rewards program was mentioned or not by the salesperson and by the cashier. It appears that the threshold for the cashier is $9.99 and they probably realized that no shopper would spend $9.99 or more for a fee 0f $10 and no reimbursement. I did two of them, and they were easier to write up than I had expected. BUT - I wouldn't expect their "no reimbursement for a small purchase" policy for their other scenarios to change.

Myst, explain "the threshold for the cashier is $9.99."

The one that I did was a TV and a GPS. $9.99 can buy a charger, wire, paper or something useful. I'm actually excited about that.

The shop I did that had a reimbursement required that I inquire for either a TV or a computer. Then make a purchase of at least $9.99 (up to $12.99). I had to evaluate the extent to which the salesperson and the cashier recommended their rewards program. This shop was very different than the ones I have done in the past which required a product inquiry in two different departments and the purchase was merely used as a POV (no evaluation of the cashier). My guess is that $9.99 is the threshold at which the cashier is "required" try to entice me to sign up for the rewards program, but that is just a guess. I was not allowed to say that I was a member, or to have the purchase credited to my rewards account. That has not been true of the "two department sales shops" that I have done in the past.

Oh, okay, yes! I forgot about that part. Thank you!
