the money orders can in the us mail. could they de taken care of by the postal service for fraud. if i turned the paper work i have in to them?

Definitely do not attempt to cash the money orders. You can turn it all over to postal inspectors if you want, though they appear to be doing nothing about it. Even better, report it to the FTC. See comment by dcrector a few days ago
