Interesting Conversation with Cirrus

No one was insulted. Cut the drama. Irene, it's great that you continue to celebrate birthdays and you have reached 79. I plan to get there and also to celebrate many birthdays after 79. In this day and age, 79 is not ancient anymore.

There is no need for constant oversensitivity and drama.

I agree, also no need to EDIT old post of others, that's all;, age has nothing to do with it.
I hear Itelli is looking for Editors (for real).

What? I am sooo confused. Who is editing old posts of others? I thought only the person who wrote the post could edit their own post besides the mods or Jacob. And what does Intellishop looking for editors have anything to do with "interesting conversation with Cirrus?" Irene, do you need a nap?

What is OA? Orgasmic aging?

Let's see, it is either sex or the election. Or maybe sex before, during and after the election! You go, girl!

Sorry AM, guess you didn't read the original post of Jas that started this stupid thing.,...just got home after doing dealership, and yes, I need a nap...not going back and looking for her original post. Done.....

Huh? I was an editor for a MSC (actually two of them) years ago. I have not edited anything, much less even my own post in this particular thread. Irene, I have no power to edit your posts. That is just so weird of you to say that I would or that I did.

I made a joke about some of your punctuation (in particular, random apostrophes making possessives out of words that are not possessive) in relation to your post about CA getting marijauna legalized, insinuating your errors with that and also naming the client with the MSC in the same thread are because you must be smoking too much pot. The comment is still there and I still stand by that I was just kidding around and wasn't trying to insult you. I'm not going to kiss your arse because of your overreacting and making such a big deal about a perceived insult where there was none.

We all make typos and edits, my main point with my teasing you in my earlier post is that it takes more effort to put an apostrophe then an s at the end of the word when it doesn't belong there than it does to type it correctly! As a previous editor, when I see it happen over and over again it kind of drives me crazy, much like my husband always missing the dirty clothes basket in his closet and somehow his dirty clothes end up on the floor next to it. Not that big of a deal, really, but I can't help but notice it.

I will say this: if you really did have glaucoma, Irene, you would know how to spell it. I don't know anyone who has a disease with eight letters or less that doesn't know how to spell it.
I did read all the posts. I do not see an insult. Irene, there is a pattern here. Many of the threads you post on seem to come to controversy because multiple different forum members have followed you, insulted you, attacked you. The whole world is after you? You are extremely combative about every post, constantly looking for something offensive to complain about. You turn jokes into reasons to scold others. You tell jokes that aren't understood and you must explain that they were jokes.

JASFLALMT has been a strong ally for you in many threads, defending comments you made. Why do you believe she would insult you? And, even after JASFLALMT apologized to you for the imagined insult, you are still going.

I'm tired of threads becoming combat zones, and toggling you hasn't worked because people keep quoting your appalling posts. There seems to be an unending list of forum members you complain about. My Dad once told me if I started to think the whole world was against me I should investigate by looking in a mirror.

I did an enjoyable shop for Cirrus in June. In October, I started making inquiries about my payment. Payment came in October, and in November, I received an email letting me know that I had been paid.

I replied, "Yes, I was paid four months later. Would you work for a company who took that long to pay you?"

She apologized for the delay with the payment and said that mystery shoppers did this in their spare time.

Really?

I'm somewhat shocked that the Cirrus rep a) assumed that mystery shoppers do this in our spare time, and b) think that it's okay to pay in four months, delay or not.

I don't get emails from their schedulers , so I assume that people are doing their shops. It won't be me again.

Apparently Irene_L.A. is confusing me with AustinMom. Sorry AM!

I am the one who asked if you needed a nap because of your recent attack on JASFLALMT. There was no need for your overreaction to her posts and her apology (even though one was not needed.)

Their reasoning makes them sound uninformed and lazy. I get their blast emails, but have never done a shop for them. I was hoping for a bonused Swedish shop, but never got it. I just changed the setting in my profile so that I don't get anymore emails from them. They're bad news.
Cirrus pays net 90 if lucky. Monnie Howard is the owner and if I do work for her firm I get an agreement to pay 60 days or I won't do it. She does pay when promised but I find her emails are not always answered by her directly. I have since rarely worked for her firm.
I didn't know the pay schedule was negotiable. Potter, how do you do that? Do you ask the owner directly or a scheduler?

"I told myself to quit you; but I don't listen to drunks." -Chris Stapleton
Everything is negotiable; you just have to ask. The answer may not always be what you want but nothing ventured, nothing gained. I don't negotiate pay schedules very often since I am not living paycheck-to-paycheck but I regularly negotiate flexible due dates and times.
Well I am still waiting on pay from June. This is crazy. As soon as I get paid I am closing my account with them. This is just ridiculously insane.
Who do you contact to inquire about payment? There is nothing listed on their website.
I usually send an email back to their "invoice" email address asking where the payment is. I never get a response (besides the auto response), but then the payment is in my paypal account within two to three business days after.
Chasing that payment was a viscous cycle. I got autoresponses directing me to another email each time. A few days after i called it a loss, payment showed up.

Who would be okay with that!!

So i did a shop in Sept and it was awful. The company I was apt shopping for didn't answer their phones. They obviously saw and heard my tries. The scheduler harassed me until it was done or was going to score low for abandoning the shop. I ripped her (very polietly) but firmly a new one. She backed off. Now 3 months later I'm still waiting for payment. It says in the q&a they pay 3 months after the shop. No day specified...this blows. I could really use the money for christmas.
Here is a link with the payment schedule for Cirrus.
[cirrusmktg.com]

They have a lot of shops in my area that have been sitting on their job board for several months. Even bonused, they only pay slightly more than the company for whom I do a lot of very similar shops and just less than the payment I typically get. Moreover, the other company pays very quickly (between 15 and 45 days, depending when I perform the shop). Plus, I had to chase payment the one time I I was expecting money from them.

So... I'll only do a periodic work for them. If they want to be prioritized over my preferred company, they'll simply have to either speed up the pay schedule or pay more. ($45 dollars in two weeks is much more exciting than $45 in four months.)

Hard work builds character and homework is good for your soul.
Yes; according the payment schedule a Sep shop should be paid in early Jan.

So...If I was willing to deal with the poor pay rate, undesirable shops, having to submitting an invoice each month I work for them and the 90-120 day pay cycle, I might work for this company. Except for the fact that I had to remind them for payment more the 120 days out each time I performed a shop.

Color me truly amazed that this company manages to stay in business....
I'm amazed that they have a line of shoppers.

I have unpaid invoices dating back to July. They have always been slow at paying, normally 3 months, but never this late. I just sent and inquiry to see what was up and will see if I get a reply. They might have gone out of business because I haven't received any assignment opportunities since September,
