Rather Ambiguous, Are They Not, Maritz?

As I've been submitting my reports for the flying horse gas station shops, I'm finding photo requests in the reports that are not outlined (as far as I can find) in the latest guidelines for 2017. Maybe some other shopper has found them?
For instance, the shop asks if you remembered to ask the attendant to turn on the outside lights. Yes, I did. Were they working, it asks. No, I answer, the employee said they were on a timer or did not know how. In the photo request, it asks for a photo. Wait a minute! I didn't see a mandatory photo for this.

How about the overall shot? Where does it say what is and is not required? It just says, "properly captured, shows canopy, store, lot, etc". It does not say canopy lights, perimeter lights, MID, just an ambiguous "etc".

As for the lighting itself, are we now expected to show that the lighting was on? If so, where in the guidelines is that request/photo?

I could go on, there are other areas of ambiguity.

What I am saying is, excluding commonsense, it leaves much open for interpretation and editor disputes.

There was a POP related question that I felt the same way about, where it asked me for a photo that I was not expecting to be asked for one. (I was anticipating the question on the report, but not the need for the photo as it seemed like it would be obvious in other photos). Fortunately, I had taken one that worked to provide the answer.

Station attendants also seem unclear. One assistant manager at a normally sparkling station came out and said, "we really had no idea what we should be adding and what we should take down."
A lot times it is the client, not Maritz or any other MSC, who are providing the instructions for their shops. It may look great on paper, but when you are out on the field, something doesn't add up. The client is probably wants photos of this, this and that without providing clear directions.

But Maritz knows the survey and if photos are required.

We don't have that shop out here, but can't open the survey before doing it and see exactly what the questions ask?
