does anyone ever pass the CRI test?

I have spent about the last hour trying to pass the "university" test on Cori. It has to be rigged or out of order. I am answering all questions I believe correctly. It still says I have not passed and cannot assign myself jobs. Has this happened to anyone before? Do you think it might be a temporary glitch? Thanks

I haven't taken a test from them for some time, but if I recall correctly, some of them are tricky. (I THINK that Market Force was the other company with whom I found that to be the case.) VERY slight nuances. I'd suggest opening the study materials in a different window than the test, so you can jog back and forth between pages. Use the "find" tool to look for the keyword you need.
Every time I have trouble taking a test I contact the company. If they want you to shop for them they will help you.
Yeah, I think you are missing something. I haven't had difficulty passing any of their tests.

Service Intelligence was the only company I've had difficulty with, and one time it was clearly a problem on their end with not programming the correct answer into the exam.
Thanks, everyone, I plan to contact the company. I can't imagine what I am missing, and unlike other tests, they will not tell you which question is wrong.
Hey, guess what I passed! I went over each question one by one and changed one answer at a time, even if I thought it was wrong until so I could tell which one they were not counting. It turned out to be one that contradicts the training video. The question was: should you fill out your form a) in the parking lot, b) a few blocks away from the site, or c) at home. The video states, "when you get HOME and go right to filling out the form........" So guess what! Even though it is NEVER mentioned in the video, the correct answer they wanted from you was........ a few blocks away in your car.
You must be a fairly new shopper Carol--and no insult intended. Almost every company wants you to drive away from the location a few blocks, park and take notes or fill out the form in the car. They then want you to rush home and no matter how many shops you have done on your outing, start immediately to fill out THEIR report while it is fresh in your mind. Overall not very practical. Every time you start your vehicle you use a bunch more gas than you do in a small amount of driving. With the price of gas I won't be driving several blocks and stopping to fill out a form only to start the vehicle again and drive to my next location. I also won't be driving home to do a report after each and every shop! This is one of those things where knowing the form and recording your notes on a DVR in the car as you get yourself organized and drive to the next shop helps enormously. Using your cell phone to your house answering machine or to a memo feature will also work.
Thanks, yes, I have only been secret shopping since April. But no one has ever requested I fill out the form a few blocks away. I have been doing just fine and getting top ratings on many of those I have done. Just never would have guessed that was the correct answer, especially since it was never mentioned in the training video. thanks again!
I have to admit that I have to laugh every time it says to "pull a few blocks away and fill out your report". I do recommend filling out the report in the parking lot while it is fresh in your mind, however driving down the road in 95% of the cases is absurd. I typically complete the report while still in the parking lot. I have never had any issue with this ever and if by some chance I sensed that someone did suspect me as a shopper, I would pull away and do it elsewhere, however I could count the number of times that happened probably on one hand and I have been shopping for 5 years now.

If you are in an shopping center establishment, you are probably fine because of so many other customers and the fact that you would just blend in with them. However, if you are doing a small establishment and park in front of the store, you may want to go elsewhere in the parking lot to do it.

You will find that the most time-consuming part of shopping and the part that can most easily irritate you is actually not the shop execution in the field, but rather the shop input itself.

I have every question on my shops memorized and would right down comprehensive notes in the car of the entire experience. Then, when I got home, I would review my notes and answer the questions ... pulling the data from the notes. This is a BAD idea, and I revised my methods over time. Albeit more time consuming, it pays to actually answer the questions IN ORDER on the form so that it is all ready for you when you get home. It will ultimately be a lot faster, more detailed, and you will be a lot less annoyed in the long run.
Thanks for the advice. With the length of some forms and the time required to fill them out, I am starting to wonder if it is worth it sometimes.
You will get better at choosing exactly what shops you are willing to do for the money they pay. :-) It comes with experiencing them.

I'm reviving this thread because now I think there's definitely something wrong with CORI's testing. As someone signed up with a few mystery shop companies, I automatically chose "a few blocks away from the site" for the question "where should you complete the checklist?" They are playing with semantics here with the definition of "complete." It took me days to pass the goddamn test (due to two wrong answers and contradiction in their video). Jerks.

I have been taking this test for over a week now and I cant get it and I really want to work for this company. Im thinking about quitting because I just cant get it. Someone help me please!!!!! sad smiley
I find that if I watch the video again, I'll see the answer to the exact question(s) I was getting incorrect. Try watching parts of the video (or slide show) again.

Sincerely,

I did that multiple times and I still keep failing it. I know somebody got the answers. Help a fellow unemployed person out! smiling smiley
I am with you! Some of these tests are ass-backwards. The questions are phrased in a ridiculous way! And they add a detail or leave one out and expect you to remember those tiny little issues.

It's possible that there is an error in one (or more) of the questions. I had that happen on one or two of the qualification tests for shops (although I don't think that was an issue on the initial qualification exam). If you're sure you've reviewed all of the material and are still having trouble, contact their support folks and they'll help you.

I suggest first printing the test for review. Then, skip the Video and use the Standard Presentation instead. That makes it a lot easier to check off the correct answers.

You have to review the video's more than once. You can print out the test first review it and then take the test.

I got sooo stuck on this same question! Congrats!
Interesting wording. I'm sure in the mind of the person who created the video it was meant to be when filling out the online form. That question comes up on tests for other companies as well. Now you will always have at least one correct answer, LOL!
