I tried to apply for a Maritz bank shop as a new bank customer. I have done this shop earlier before closing my account a few months ago. Kern's website won't let me apply. I emailed them and was told I couldn't apply if I was a former customer. Is this true?
Yes, it appears to be. There are two different shops to open new accounts with this bank. One is for new customers, those who do not have an account and/or have never had an account with the bank, i.e., a totally new customer to the bank. For the New Customer Account open, the client seems to want a totally new person who has no previous history with the bank. Since the bank officer can tell if you are a previous customer through their database, this might impact the information he gives you or his sales pitch for other items. There are other account open shops that allow a former bank customer or a customer with other current accounts to open an account. The client also wants to see what the bank officer will tell an existing or former customer and what resources he will attempt to sell.
It looks like someone should edit for ICA violation. The OP named the MSC as well as the scheduling company. Naming the client in two posts and posting a link to the client's website looks like an ICA violation, along with forum guidelines.
