An engine air filter for $90 plus labor?! Are you sure you don't mean a fuel filter?
Cars typically have two air filters: one for the cabin air and one for the engine air. In every car (or truck), I have ever owned, the engine air filter is under $30 at an auto parts store and a super-easy five minute job (less complicated than pumping gas!). The cabin air filter is about the same price and slightly trickier as it is often accessed through the glove box... If you need a new air filter, I suggest watching a YouTube video and doing it yourself. At the price you quoted, it will be a far more profitable use of your time than doing a mystery shop!
The fuel filter, however, is a bit more complicated and will actually take some know-how.

They have bonuses out on shops in my area now and actually they just increased the bonuses again today. Th only dealership shops that seem to be worthwhile for me are the oil change and tire rotation. I am assuming that the dealerships try to be a little more competitive on those. I called a dealership the other day to see how much to replace the engine air filter and the air filter alone was $90 and then it was $110 an hour or $55 a half hour. Ummm so not worth the $45 reimbursement and $20 pay.
