Maritz

Perhaps I have been lucky but I believe that I have always been scheduled for every shop that I have applied for except with Maritz. There have been multiple times that I apply for a shop and it either sits there open or gets scheduled with another shopper (understandable). I have even been scheduled for Coyle shops immediately without completing any phone type shops. Is there something I need to do to actually get scheduled with Maritz?

Keep applying. Maritz schedulers really like phone calls. If you want a shop, I would suggest that you look at the description to see which "team" is in charge of it. Then, give Maritz a call and select the appropriate team from the audio mention. If you get a message, instead of a person, identify yourself with your name, shopper number and best phone number and say that you are really interested in XYZ shop, but have not had much luck getting your requests scheduled.

stebrow, the problem is that until you complete 10 shops for Maritz, you are a provisional shopper and you cannot self-assign shops. You can only request them and wait for Maritz schedulers to contact you and assign them to you. All the other shoppers (at least those who have completed 10+ shops) can self-assign. These shoppers are self-assigning the shops immediately when they see them, so they are beating you to the shops.

MF Johnston is correct. Keep applying. Call and ask for the shop when you see it. If they have additional, hard-to-fill shops, you might take them to try to get 10 shops done as quickly as possible. Once you complete 10 shops, it will be significantly easier because you will be able to self assign.

I'm pretty sure I only had to do about four shops before I was allowed to self-assign. Maybe it's not a hard and fast rule?
I did less than ten, so it may be based on geographical location. Maritz has a boatload of shops in my area, and I was glad I didn't have to wait very long to self-assign.
I only had to do 4. I beleive there are some other determining factors. A scheduler told me it could be more or less than 10, but that was a general guideline.
