I received an email titled "Job Offer" from BestMark

The only problem I have with this is it's from a John Daniel (Head of Recruitment) and it tells about all the jobs that it has to offer. Actually I've only come here a few times, bought a Manuel to even see if I would be interested. I just received this email tonight. How would they have gotten my name and email except from this site? I'm just even wondering if it's legitimate. It says:
Must have reliable transportation
Must have good written communication skills
Must be able to focus on details
Must have full internet access (at home or at work)
This is just the requirements. Then has link to fill out application with this company. I have not contacted anyone so.....I'm just wondering.?? Does the companies actually write you? I'm sure this is not for real.

Aviva, it sounds like a scam. Companies don't reach out to strangers in the hopes that they will become mystery shoppers. Delete the email, don't click on any links. Scammers spoof the name of legitimate companies to trick you into clicking a link, just delete the email. The only way to get a mystery shopping job is for you to sign up with a company and provide your contact information.

And welcome to the forum!
Don't click on any links - probably a scam and you really don't want a virus. I would just go to the BestMark page and register as a shopper to be confident that I was not accessing a scam page. As you do more mystery shopping= more scams.
We are more aware of scams. I'm not sure we actually get more of them. If anything, most mystery shoppers are more careful with their information. The result is people tend to believe our information was hacked from some legitimate site. While sites have been hacked occasionally, more often than not these are just blast emails not targeted at us.

You can go to their website, from the link here, to verify the URL is correct. I receive invites from MSCs because I am registered with several job posting sites where my default settings allow the invites. I am not sure if our information is sold/shared by Jacob or not.

It is also not uncommon for schedules to share your info if you are in a very remote area. Look at the privacy policies and read what you're signing. For instance, with my company, we will email you with a link to another company that is looking we never transfer your info without you volunteering it by signing up for them.

There's a list of MS companies at the bottom of this page. Bestmark is listed there and it's safe to use that URL/link.
