Intelli-shop pizza: possible to get full shop expense?

If Intelli-shop has a $25 shop expense for a carry-out pizza shop, is it possible with their restricted toppings to get anywhere near that amount? In my area, a two-topping carry-out pizza goes for around $16. (I could also most likely find a coupon to bring that price down.) Does this MSC allow the shopper to keep the difference, or would I only be reimbursed the $16 in my case? I guess I'm not familiar with the term "shop expense." It sounds like reimbursement up to the amount spent?

You are correct. The $25 upward limit takes into account places like Alaska where a two topping might cost that much. I did see where one of the new MSC that has taken on part of the pizza account is also factoring in up to a $2 tip for the driver, the cost of delivery, and price of the pizza.

Until they get end of the period desperate and start bonusing the shops like NSS did please just sit tight and wait.

Intelli-Shop and BARE both wanted a "slice" if this pizza account, they need to learn that shoppers do not work for free and they need to properly incentivise and pay us for our time and effort.

Yes,I've been doing these shops for about a decade now with various MSCs. With each, you are reimbursed the cost of the pizza. Using coupons will only benefit you in having less money to wait for upon reimbursement. I never did them for reimbursement, only for a fee. Bare hasn't figured it out yet. Intelli will bonus them up to $23 when desperate.

I get $29 bonus every time I do the shop.

But I don't get it often; they probably have a shopper who lives closer and will perform it for less.

I must have a low culinary threshold -- I LIKE the pizza!!! LOL!!!

I have been reimbursed for the delivery and tax, plus the cost of the pizza. (I have never maxed out the $25.) I have sometimes ordered a second pizza on some coupon or deal. In that case, I have explained it and reported what the required pizza price would have been had I ordered it by itself, and I was reimbursed for that higher amount. By the way, last time I picked up my carryout order, the cashier started to ring me up, then said they had a carryout special. She charged me much less than I planned, but I was reimbursed for the higher amount. I even emailed the scheduler in addition to explaining in the narrative. Maybe that helped me balance out the big bonuses I hear so many referring to here! They never happen where I am.

On a different but related subject with these shops, A lot of these shops are delivery from locations that are not the closest one to me. In the shop details, it doesn't specify that you have to be in the delivery area but I've always assumed that was a given. Does it make a difference? There is one about 4 miles from me but I've never seen it listed. But there's one that's 10 miles away and even further. Just curious how this shop works.

For delivery shops you would have to have the pizza delivered to an address within the location's delivery area.

Yeah you can check online to see if you are in the delivery zone. What generally happens is that they can't find anyone to do it as a delivery shop and will change it to a carryout. There are people who have a friend in the delivery area and can order from their house, or work in the delivery zone. I remember someone saying they had it delivered to a park. Sounds like a PITA to me.

Good to know I was right about not bothering with this since I'm not in any of the areas listed. I thought it would be a PITA anyway because of the pickiness of the pictures etc. so it's just as well.

In my area a delivery pizza is $24/$26 with tip so I am glad to see the fee max raised...the other company that is now demised would only reimburse to $20 no matter how many times I told them the price around here. They would eventually offer a $3 bonus where I would ONLY be out of pocket $1 but with no fee it was truly silly of them. With one or two days to spare before their deadline they would come up with $8. I am hoping the newer companies will at least cover the entire cost.

One the last rounds, I got four pizzas and a total of $79 in bonuses. Five was the total limit.

The delivery location to my house has been with Intelli for a few years now. Someone takes it off the board EVERY month for just reimbursment. They must like the pizza, I always waited for NSS to call me about carry out locations in my area.

I've done three of the shops and the photos are quite easy. Just place the pizza box on the floor or stand over the table, write the info on the box, take three photos.. done. I do not like the pizza but will take it with a bonus. I eat the topping and feed the crust to the chickens.

So Question about the new msc (new to me as I have only been with the msc which is out of business now).
For both Bare and Intelli where I have seen these shops listed...Is it okay to write the info on the pizza box as wozswoman suggests? I assume she means on the inside lid. It would be a real pita savings from having to print out the form and write it, place it right or left and get it in focus.
In my area the pizza without a coupon is $17.95 (plus tax, tip and del fee if necessary). Do you just put the $17.95 + in the cost box on the form even if you had a coupon where you got a less expensive pizza? I am referring here to Threemom's post where she got reimbursed for the entire amt even tho she was charged less with a special...
I have not accepted one from these other companies yet but from the write up it looks as if everything else is exactly the same as at NSS.

I think on that one, it was an error on their part. My box label showed the higher amount since it was printed before I arrived. I followed the reporting instructions (it asks for the amount on the receipt), addressed it in the narrative, and emailed the scheduler. I feel like I did my part to be honest.

I always write the number on a piece of paper, but I think you would be fine to write directly on the box next to the pizza. Some of the example "good" photos show it that way.

I do the online shops on a Tuesday when all online shops are BOGO with a code. So I get 2 pizzas which makes the office happy

Sandy it's easier than NSS because you don't have to have a closeup of the small receipt. All they want is the 2 receipts attached to the filled out receipt form.

I write on the box. My family and friends know how/why I got it and don't care as long as they have a (to them) free pizza sitting in front of them. Sometimes I give the pizza to the homeless. I promise you they don't care about writing on the box.

I give it to the employees at the Goodwill store sometimes. It's about 3 blocks from the pizza place that delivers to my house. I also sometimes give it to various neighbors, and only one neighbor knows about me being a shopper. I don't want the others to know. It only takes a few seconds to write it on a little rectangle of paper.

I write the Store ID and Job # on a little piece of paper and put it in the box. This allows me to prep that in advance and take the pics just a bit faster. My mom grows horns if she has to sit long smelling the pizza without being able to eat it.
