Yes I agree. I'm working for many companies and I was uncomfortable with having my Social Security number floating around in so many places. I think it is more secure to use an EIN, not to mention it's more professional.

Who invited Copeland over to this thread anyhow??? His long, drawn out posts remind me of Shoptastic!!!
Please go away!
LOL! That made me laugh. I must say that despite how long Shoptastic's posts were, I usually read the entire post. She could spin a yarn. But the new troll is oleaginous. Yuk.
Chris, you need to get a handle on your receptionist, David. He's got a lot to learn and coming off as a know-it-all and imparting his opinions as fact is not going well.

The Source: I dropped them a few years ago when they pressed me to have EIN...even I told them that yearly pay from them less than $50.00 after that press I quit

I was pressed by both The Source and Maritz to get an EIN. I ignored them and didn't do it. They both backed off the requirement. I still shop for both Maritz and The Source under my own terms, with no EIN.
I dropped from Mariz with other reason a few years ago. At that time their system was verid. I received notification for each single shops they have in my area..on my cell phone. I asked them to change that setting but they said there is not way for change..

I have EIN with The source, and recently decided to sign with Maritz and see I need an EIN, have no problem with it. I'm retired, hasn' been a problem, and I keep yearly under 600.00....with their low fees not hard to do....

Live consciously....

I had to look it up also I thought it would be something like covered in fake butter but it's close.
I shop for The Source using ONLY my SS#...as long as I don't hit the $600.00/per year threshold in earnings (reimbursements don't count), I don't need an EIN with The Source. Of course, many, many reps earn more than this from them, and then, yes, you need an EIN.
I picked your advice and Maritz and The Source re-activated my accounts (without EIN requests)..will pick some shops soon..Did one financial place with Maritz..terrible..spent there waiting for over 40 minutes and got fruitless info..
