What companies for small towns.

Hello, I have been doing a little MS for a year or so. I am hoping to find out what companies are most likely to have shops in small towns. I have done mostly some restaurant shops, a few retail stores, some mobile and few car shops.
We don't have any 4 star hotels. Restaurants are the basics that are everywhere. Would like to find some bank shops and maybe some other interesting shops.
I am signed up for MF, BestMark. What other companies would you recommend? Thank in advance!

Every single company. You just don't know what is going to be where as far as shopping companies is concerned.

I know shoppers who made good bonus money shopping small towns because it was hard to get city-based shoppers to make the drive for one or two shops. So, signing up with many, many MSCs will be the key. Also, you may find that if you are within 50-75 miles of a larger city it can really pay to make one day routes to do several higher paid shops there. Sign up with 2-5 more MSCs on any day when you would like to be shopping but have not found any assignments. Before long you will see a turn-around in your opportunities.

Thanks all, this forum is very helpful. I am slowly starting to sign up for more companies, but don't what to overwhelm myself. I have gotten some nice MF bonuses for burger shops that are about 20 miles from home!
Banks and gas stations are great for small towns.
Search this forum to find the MSCs that provide these shop types.
And keep signing up with more and more MSCs. The only thing you'll be overwhelmed by will be an overabundance of opportunities.
Faith Perceptions does shops in small, remote towns. Do not know if it a regional thing or USA wide.
Faith Perceptions is in many states and I think several regions. They are widely enough spread that they found it worthwhile to recruit and make presentations twice at IMSC conferences, once in Ohio and once in NV. And, they do seem to be expanding their market.

Where do you live, how old are you, and how far can you travel?

Do not answer those questions.

Do you have children or other relatives who are of certain ages?

Don't answer that, either!

Just think about how you can fit various shop types into your life-- or vice versa.

I live in a small town. I do not mystery shop at my banks. This leaves few opportunities. But I go out of town occasionally and do bank shops in other cities. These are usually small towns or suburbs of a huge city. Occasionally, I venture into the city itself. When I do this, I am near many shopping opportunities that do not exist in this small town. Is this possible for you where you live?

Some people love new customer inquiry only bank shop. Others prefer existing customer bank shops. Some people don't mind credit card shops. Other financial shops may involve insurance, investments, or financing. Some shops can be performed in person, online, or via telephone. Are there app shops for any finance oriented organizations? Some shoppers remember that between approximately January and April, several types of tax shops are available. (Now you have a few keywords for the aggregate job boards.)

*Small town girl here* Not even 1k people in my town. Where I grew up doesn't even have 40 people left in it.

Bonus money is great in smaller towns. There's a town I like to go to that has about 900 people in it but they have a car dealership. I can get an oil change there often with a $100-$150 bonus attached. There's another I visited recently with about 2,000 and I picked up a bank shop for $100. Not too far from me, either. Few and far between many times but I dig it and I only knew about the shops because I'm signed up with tons of companies and I get the emails from a good bit of them.

That being said, signing up for every email list can be annoying. I live in Kentucky. I keep getting offers for Anchorage, AK... That huge $40 isn't gonna get me there.

i keep getting urgent emails for shops in key west fl. i dont live near there at all but since people travel i can understand mass emails. from news & friends key west & most of keyes were destroyed by hurricane irma. residents aren't allowed back in many areas. think police barricade is going to let shopper go on their merry way where biz is not open & there is no power. good luck w that.
I live in a small town as well. I am signed up with 100 companies. Out with of those 100 companies I do work for 3 on a regular basis, and about a handful on and off. But, as many will tell ya, it is good to sign up with a lot of MSC because although they may not have anything in your shopping vicinity at the moment, they may in the future. MF is probably my main company I work with on a monthly basis, I travel an average of 1,000 miles to other small towns. I don't shop locally for MF because the last two times I did I got a stomach bug and had to cancel other shops because I was too ill to drive far. The closest shop I do is 30 miles away. I am very thankful for this industry, but it has taken me 3 years to find my niche. Take your time and be open minded is the best advice I can give a fellow small Towner! And build a good repour with your schedulers, without them I really would not have many if any decent shops!
