Beyond Hello and ratings

This is getting old. This is the second time I've gotten this rating from them:

-----------------------------------
Shop Grade : 8

Comments : Thank you for the additional comments/clarification. Your rating reflects this evaluation having been returned to you for additional information.
-----------------------------------

All the information was in the report to begin with. When I resubmitted the report, I did not add any additional information. The associate did not do what they felt would be the norm for them to do so they sent it back to me to clarify that they did not do said action.

Twice in the report I stated what they did and did not do. I do not think my rating should have to take a 2 point hit because A. the associate did not do/say what they should and B. the editor did not read or understand what I already reported.

Like I said, it's the second time I've received that exact rating and comment and both times all the information was already included.

There are companies just not worth bothering with if/when you don't feel you are not being treated fairly. I have done few jobs with these folks and was not impressed, though I had no real big beef with them except for the vast quantities of emails they send out for the same shops because others evidently don't care to work with them either for whatever reasons. I turned off the emails . . .
I agree with what Flash said, however, I do not find Beyond Hello to be one of those companies. I've received two grades under 10 from them. One was because they needed clarification, which is automatic 2 point deduction. The other time was because I answered "yes" to a question, "Did the associate mention..." I was told that that I answered incorrectly, and that it should be "no" because that benefit (store policy) was not associated with the item I purchased.

Well, the associate DID mention it! And in this instance, it was BEFORE I had decided on the item I eventually purchased. I wrote to the scheduler, not to complain about the grade, but because I wanted clarification. I really had NO clue what I did incorrectly. About a day later, I received an apology, and my grade had been upped to a 10.

Sometimes the editors screw up, plain and simple, and it's worth contacting the scheduler. Interesting to note that since that shop, I've done several more, and in at least two instances, a similar thing occurred. These times, the benefit was mentioned in relation to items AFTER I decided on my purchase, and it definitely should not have been. I answered that same problematic question "yes". Not a peep, and a grade of 10.

The only other thing I can think of is that you do have to make sure that you include explanations for all "no" answers in the narrative.

In any event, if this bugs you, I really recommend reaching out to the scheduler. If the editor had to contact you because THEY were unclear, you should not be penalized.

I just did a glasses place (no purchase) and was pleasently surprised when I not only got a 10, but an email thanking me for a superior job. I did this as my last job was an 8, and I was tired of seeing that when I logged in....

Live consciously....
I just did two of those. Great that you got a 10, but I hate to inform you that the email is canned. The first time I got one, I thought it was a personalized response, too!
Let me dream...a 10 is a 10 and a thank you Auto or not is still a response.

This is true!
I too thought I was getting a great comment the first time I got a 10 with a "You did a superior job!"

Then my next three were all "a superior job!" so I figured they were just auto responses.

That is my major annoyance with the issue. I would understand if they needed clarification because I did not clearly state yes or no. I first marked that no she did not say this. Then in the comments I again stated she did not do this. I understand that they wanted to make sure this was correct as a big part of the shop revolved around this. I would have no problem with an email saying they just want to be sure before turning in the report. But to dock the 2 points for something that was there twice, they acknowledged it was there, they just wanted to be sure it was supposed to be there, IMO is not right.
I absolutely agree, and think you should contact the scheduler on the shop. Personally, I've found the people at BH to be very nice, and I hope they can resolve this for you. I don't blame you for being annoyed one bit!
I like BH. I don't do a ton of stuff for them, as there are only so many times I choose to visit a sunglass store (and only when bonused), but I like the coffee place and I find their staff nice. They always pay on time and I never get any hassles with my reports. I got the 8 once because the "had to contact me" and the info was already in the report, but I didn't care enough to protest it. As long as it is not a regular occurence, at which time I would care enough to deal with it...which is what sounds like is starting to happen for you, Lisa.
I hate any sort of hassles with MS'ing. I don't have time to deal with those issues...which is the same for most of us here, I am guessing.

The hassle is just that, but, over a large amount, yes, hassle away. Beyond hello's glasses, which I only do when there is no purchase, love the coffee, but as I've mentioned before, want the drink I want...need my espresso macchiato, not tea or a latte. maybe they'll go back to "order what you like" and I'm with them again. They are decent, just limited in their shops.

I haven't emailed them yet and I probably won't. I shop for them very rarely and usually only when they get desperate and highly bonus.

I am kicking this up, because I swear that same editor works at Intelli-shop. I have gotten 8s from them, with the exact canned verbiage. And both times, the information was already in the report. Is that possible?

My current BH evals are 10s with one exception-they were worried about the length of time I spent on a sunglasses shop. I got a personal, not canned response on that issue.

I've wondered that too because I had that problem with them a couple of weeks ago. They called to clarify that there was only one associate working ( I put that in my report TWO times.) Then I got the 8 because they had to contact me.
I got a ten on two shops I did for intellishop. Won't know about the ay issue for awhile yet.
