Rant - Intellishop!

Good grief, Intellishop! I asked for a shop early one week for Tuesday of the following week. Never heard back, so I went on and did my thing,

The morning of the shop, and 7:57 AM, I get an "accepted" e-mail. Four minutes later, I get a "reminder" e-mail that the shop is due that day. At 8:08 AM, I wrote the scheduler -- I had not confirmed the shop, and told him there was no way I could do it that day, and asked if there were other days available, so that I could make a route -- I'm not driving 120 miles round trip, last minute, for a $15 shop!

At 10 AM, without receiving a reply to my e-mail, I got a "shop cancelled" e-mail from the scheduler. And 3 minutes later, another e-mail, issuing me a CITATION.

Really, Matt?

Really, Intellishop?

This could be why I only have about 60 shops with them in the last five years.....grrrrrrrr!!!

Whenever I don't hear back in a reasonable time and decide I don't want the shop I go in and cancel the request.
They still should not have issued you a citation. Based on what I hear about them, I have not signed up with them. It isn't worth the aggravation dealing with them.
Yeah, that's why the rant. Don't bother to reply to my e-mail, just issue a citation. Like being punished resolves anything, LOL!!!!
You have to really be on your toes with Intellishop and cancel fast. The shopper takes the hit for any scheduler mistake or last-minute scheduling or change that the shopper can't pick up. They do tend to be very quick with the citations.
I'm a bit grumpy right now over the whole reimbursement thing. It's happened repeatedly and they refuse to pay the damn $2 they owe shoppers. Even with multiple screen shots, emails, etc. they aren't paying and keep denying and coming up with excuses. Very poor practice. For shoppers who pick up 3-5 in a week, it can really cause issues. Bleh.

Yes, I agree. I should have cancelled.

Darn you for not being perfect.
I'd have possibly done the exact same thing as you did.
I feel for you.

ETA: Well, I might have called Matt up and told him that he was a D*&*^% as well. smiling smiley

I agree they're being totally stupid about this. Their fault, they should pay without a doubt. No excuses.

There are 3 kinds of lies. Lies, Damn lies, and statistics.
By the way, as far as IS is in general, they were my first MSC when I cam back to it. I didn't really have problems way back then, but lately. . . Anyway I've noticed in my area that they really don't have many shops right now and it's been that way for a while. I have to wonder if their clients are getting fed up too so they've lost some. Maybe money's tight and that's why they're so stingy. Not an excuse, but maybe the reason.

Like a doctor's office that expects you to be on time for an appointment or call to cancel. However, they can make you wait an hour past your appointment time. Some even make you prepay in advance of your appointment. So, what did one man do when he sees prepaying as using his money. He charged them interest for every day that his money was being used!! Novel idea. So, for every day that shops do not pay beyond the stated time charge a $1.00 per day and notify the MSC. Sort of like what they do in deducting money they owe you when certain things are not done to their liking. By the way, it is just like debt collectors who charge for non payment or companies who report you to credit bureaus for non payment.
