August Payment from A Closer Look

I did not receive my check from A Closer Look for shops I completed in August.

Has anyone else not received their check yet? I contacted them, and they said they're going to research it and get back to me, but I will have to wait 30 days to see if the check arrives before they'll reissue it.

I've shopped with them for a while and never had an issue not getting the check before, and having to wait another 30 days to receive it puts me in a terrible bind.

I got mine yesterday for my August shops.

Still waiting for mine.

Ya know, I haven't gotten mine yet either.

I just checked and mine says it is pending payment until the 23rd so I guess I got a little longer to wait

I didn't get mine either. IT was supposed to be sent out on Sept 25th. I emailed them and they said the same thing. wait 30 days) I was about to email again and then I checked( they also posted this on their website). This is what the email said.
As posted on our website, we had a printing error for a small batch of the August reimbursement checks. You will be sent a replacement check today. Please note that this is a REPRINTED check with the SAME check number. If you wind up receiving 2 checks in the mail, you can only deposit 1 of them. If you deposit both checks you will receive a returned banking fee, which ACL will not reimburse you for.

So, not sure if the error was the name/address or what because I know I never received the check. Its close to 400 bucks too.

ETA: I deposited mine on October 2nd. Check was dated September 25th.

I got mine at the end of September.

I waited the 30 days, still no check

I got mine out of the mail on the 28th if it helps anyone feel a little less stressful about it. It seems it was all processed with the last shop I did that had the longest process date -- so shops that were due to be processed on the 18, 20, 23 and such all came with the check for a final shop due to be processed on the 24th. I don't know if that makes sense -- just going by the little notes on my shops that show a process date for each client.

If you go into events, my history, it should list all your shops and what date they will be paying you for each shop. I've also noticed the pay date is listed on your shop after you accept it.

Yea, I know all that. It SAYS it was paid 9/25, but I have NOT received the check.

Cease, that's just not right. Paid 9/25 and here it is almost the end of October? You had better inquire. I got a check Saturday for shops completed in September.

Yes, thanks. I e-mailed them about the 10th, got the "wait 30 days from date of payment", and e-mailed them again today -- maybe I'll hear back soon. I have never had a problem with payment from them before.

I received my sept check and October checks a few days ago. September check was a reprint due to an error on their part

I received my September payment on Friday but I shorted $5. Sigh.
Edited to add: I emailed ACL and received a very prompt reply reminding me that I had donated $5 for hurricane relief. A bit embarrassing but they were quite kind about it!
