Maritz Shop

I did the shop where I had to purchase an item using a specific app for payment. A few days prior to the shop, I downloaded the app and learned it. The day of the shop, my default pay app overrode the app I was required to use for the shop. I submitted the report with no problem. I went to the Maritz site a few days later to submit my invoice, and the shop was accepted.

Has anyone had an issue with this shop for not using the correct payment?

I worked on the other end of a mobile payment app and we used stuff like this to make a quality product.
What do you mean your default pay app?

Seriously, nobody cares that you're offended.
For an iPhone I believe the default pay app would be Apple Pay.

Not sure Android has a default app but I do know there is one called Android Pay that they are trying to fine tune now with another MSC.
The default pay is Android Pay. When I held my phone up to the scanner, Android Pay popped up, dinged, and showed a check mark.

I checked the Maritz site and it looked like the shop went through.

Ah I see. I haven't done one that uses the scanner. I did a couple last year that required prepayment through the app so I didn't understand how the NFC function of Android Pay would have even come into play.

You should be creating a QR code prior to scanning. This should also stop your default from taking over.
The QR code popped up on the Chase Pay app. When I put my phone on the scanner, Android Pay popped up. Android Pay went through since it was the default.
