Cirrus Marketing...REALLY???

I did a "rush" job for this company, and then one other, before I realized there were issues with their payment history...I just submitted my invoice online and got this response... which tells me that these two October shops will (MIGHT) be paid in early FEBRUARY? Ok, that will be the last time I shop for them. For crying out loud.

PROCESSING is last day of month end and generally hits PayPal no later than 5-7 days):

January shop - end of April
February shop - end of May
March shop - end of June
April shop - end of July
May shop - end of August
June shop - end of September
July shop - end of October
August shop - end of November
September shop - end of December
October shop - end of January
November shop - end of February
December shop - end of March

Yep. And you have to relentlessly stalk them for your payment. February is when the payment is processed. You might get paid in March.

Yep, that is their canned response. Don't hold your breath. They pay when they feel like it. They have total disregard for their suppliers. Sometimes one must spend more time chasing them for payment than one invests in doing the shop in the first place.
Has anyone reported them to the BBB. They have been like this since I started shopping 11 years ago. I did one job for them, never again.

Live consciously....
I worked 1 shop for them for a very large furniture store. You probably know which store I am talking about. It took me a couple of hours to work all the departments listed as well as purchase a meal from the cafeteria in the store. It took me 6 months to receive payment for this shop after continually calling them. When I finally received the payment, they had not reimbursed me for the food they had me purchase and evaluate. I just let it go and have never worked for this company again. I agree that they should be reported .
I haven't done any work for them but have been tempted - they just had a $40 job with an $80 bonus about an hour away. I could have added a couple more shops and had a pretty decent day. ThenI thought back to what I'd heard on this forum (THANK YOU, FORUM PEOPLE!) and deleted the email. I just don't need that kind of grief.
I've noticed some recent shop emails, promising these are easier assignments (and half the payment.) I do not think they understand shoppers do not want to wait months and have to chase down what is due.

They have been (and will remain) on my ten foot pole list thanks to the feedback on this forum.
I inquired about their payment policy. They told me that shoppers work in their spare time and don't need the money right away.

Really?!

As long as you know about the length of time for pay, it really isn't too bad. I've done nearly 100 apartment shops for them and have only had to have them look at one issue. They were able to take care of it pretty quickly. I get that this isn't great for the immediate bills, but if I space it correctly and do enough per month, the pay is pretty steady in my area. I also love that I can take my child with me on my shops and that I am not required to pay anything up front. It really is all in how you look at it.

As a side note - the retail shops are on my 10-foot pole list. Supposedly they are easier now, but they are also paying a lot less. I'm very hesitant to give those a try.
Ah... Cirrus..... I have been paid for every shop I've done for them (quite a few).... I have had to chase payment a couple of times..... The wait for pay is long.... The way I see it, if I am going to work for them, they need to pay me not only what I ask of other companies offering similar shop, but a bit extra to pay me for, well, working with them. $50 next month without having to chase payment is far better than $50 in four months after a phone call.
