Does anyone know how to become a shopper with them? It says not to contact them and that they recruit only from the hospitality industry.

Thanks.

If you are or recently have been in the hospitality industry for a period of time I suspect they would not get bent out of shape if you contacted them, especially if you were management or a bartender. It is rather people like me with no hospitality industry background except as a shopper that they don't want to hear from smiling smiley They obviously don't want to wade through a lot of contacts from the clueless and relatively clueless.
I have 18 years experience in the hospitality industry from marketing director, start up winery, events, weddings and was the GM of a four diamond hotel. I just want to work with them and it clearly says not to contact them.
If you want to work with them and you have the chops for it you need to pick up the phone regardless of what they say because chances are they will not find you. So you get told where to go. If you've been in the hospitality industry it probably won't be the first time smiling smiley Or any industry for that matter smiling smiley
Definitely what I would do. Not bashfully, either. Doubt that the job will just land in your experienced lap!
jmstead,
You might also put out a question on several forums looking for shoppers who work with the company and asking that they refer you to their schedulers. The other shopper may actually get rewarded for the referral. Some companies in high end industries have very appealing referral fees, lol.

Poor customer service? Don't get mad; get video.
Heck - if I really wanted to work for them and I had the background you do - I would email them a resume. I think their blurb on the website, like Flash said, is more to weed out the people who email them saying they are "MSPA Gold Certified and have done 500 gas station shops and are ready for hotels!" then to weed out people such as yourself.

Can I ask why you want to work with them specifically? From looking at their website it seems like basically they do integrity focused evals and are more PI then "mystery shopper" or customer experience focused. That personally is not my cup of tea, but maybe I am missing something.

Also, do know that many clients (at least half if not more) on their "client list" have active shopping programs currently with other MSPs, so if it is that which is driving your desire to get in with them, recognize that there are many paths to your desired objective.
