We share thoughts, ideas, how-tos, why-does, and what-is - AND - the biggest and most important one! - which companies to beware of because they are not paying their shoppers. No one wants to perform shops and complete reports and not get paid.
When shoppers register with MSCs, they are required to sign Independent Contractor Agreements (ICAs). Most of these ICAs contain a confidentiality clause. This prohibits the shopper from revealing the names of the clients of the MSC and from revealing any details of the shops or MSC practices that a shopper might learn during the course of performing shops for that MSC. So we do not share specific shop information or reveal who shops which clients. In addition, the posting guidelines of our forum prohibit revealing the clients of MSCs.
As far as recommending the best companies in a specific area, every area is serviced by different companies. Sometimes the same client is shopped by different MSCs in different areas. Some MSCs are very active in some areas and not in others. So the shoppers who would know the best companies to shop in Chicago and the best shops in Chicago, are those who are currently mystery shopping in Chicago. If you are located in the Chicago area and you seek to get a list of the best Chicago MSCs so you can sign up with those companies and begin to perform mystery shops, you will then be in direct competition with those shoppers and you will be competing with them for the jobs they are currently doing. While most forum posters are willing to answer questions and assist new posters and new shoppers, most believe it is fair to ask that shoppers do their own research and sign up with companies on their own.
