Confero

I had a manager today refuse to sign the managers form. They were unsuccessful. Then he said I couldn't take pictures, that there was a sign in the door about that. This after coming to the counter and immediately telling me they weren't hiring. I guess because I had paperwork, he thought I was applying. To bad there were three signs in the entrance advertising that they were indeed hiring. I guess it was because I am a middle aged woman in a wheel chair. The scheduler still hasn't answered my email.

WOW. Are the awards/reporting to a corporate office? This should be interesting.

Stay encouraged LeslieKay. Just complete the shop like you normally would you have your receipt. Report it just like you see it. Be patient with the scheduler. You did your part. It's not your fault he refused.
I heard back today. They told me to make sure I explained exactly what happened in my report and I would still be paid. The also said corporate would want to know about it. I am very relieved. No matter how I spell relieved, it doesn't look right....
Oh, you must be talking about a different shop. The ones I did, if they were not successful you just leave. This must be the sandwich shop and there are none in my area.
The Confero CEO Elena Braxton has a bias against people with handicaps. I was having my foot sawed off in an amputation five years ago. Every MSC I work with was compassionate and worked with me as I was rushed into emergency surgery for the amputation except one...... C O N F E R O!

Even as they were about to put me under with anesthesia, I was calling their North Carolina office to get my shops canceled only to be told by the receptionist I needed to contact their third party scheduling company. Several months later when I had recovered and was in a power chair and ready to resume mystery shopping, they were the only company not to work with me again.

Today I work with over 100 other MSC but not this one. If you are a handicapped mystery shopper these people do not want you!

I can't say what I want to say.
but it looks like this:
That s***s.,
Does anybody have a contact at Confero that actually responds to emails? I have a prize shop from October that still has not been accepted. They have lost my returned prize, and will not give me a rating or pay me until the prize is accounted for. I have emailed 2 different schedulers about this (the original scheduler, and the one that emailed me to tell me I had not returned my prize(which I had)) and neither will answer my emails anymore. The prize was signed for on Oct 25th. I'm more frustrated with the fact that they will not respond to my multiple emails.
This is who I talked to about things with the prize shops. ChristyG@conferoinc.com

Do you have the tracking number for the prizes you sent back? I dropped mine off at a FedEx store. I was given a receipt and got an email with the info also. I've done these shops for them for years and have never had a problem sending prizes back and being paid.
Yes I received the tracking number via receipt and it was sent to my email. It was signed for on Oct. 25th. On Nov. 15, I emailed the scheduler that I had not received a rating yet. She told me that it was a large project and I should see it in the next week and if I didn't see it by the first of December to email her again. On Nov. 16 I received an email from Shirley C, stating that my prize had not been sent back. I emailed her the tracking information, and she told me that they would get it checked in and I would receive a rating soon. I emailed both the original scheduler, and Shirley C on December 1st, asking if they could please confirm that they have my prize. In that last email, I simply asked that I be let know that my prize had been received and accounted for. I have never received an email back from either of them.

Thank You @spicy1 , I will give her a call today!
I emailed my scheduler back because of non payment and she forwarded a note to some other team, I got paid 2-3 days later.
The same thing happened with me, I never could get the card to activate by telephone or internet. I pass these up, I will not do them ever again. I mystery shop to make a little money not lose it.
I did five of these the past week. Four of five failed with an "anything else?". This inclueded a manger. You should have seen her face.....

The one that did it right, I wrote up exactly how enthusiastically she tried to upsell me to a meal. The manager actually jumped up and yelled when I told her they had won. Then I asked her how many additional cards she needed and I think she padded it a bit, saying it was for the other manager.

I had another manager acknowledge that they failed by printing her name, but not signing it. She also initialed where I gave her the OOP! card, but then checked the NO box. I explained that I did give it to her, but am wondering if I'll be paid for that one.

It's amazing what some people will do for $10 per person.

I've also noticed they seem to be reshopping the same locations but with different shoppers since I can't assign myself any of the locations I just did.
Ok two questions 1 how in the word do you get the drive thru menu board to come out clear? Theyve taken my less than perfect ones but i hate it taking 4 or 5 trying to get the prices clear.
And 2 what if Saturdays shop i put 6 received, 6 given 2 returned? I thought i was putting how many more they needed? I didnt catch till i saw it on tonights shop
I have a rewards shop today if I receive the package in time. I had to point out a discrepancy between the guidelines and the instructions on the view/submit page. One says you “may” do something and the other says you “will” do it. So I read this as either a requirement of the shop or my choice to do it or not. I did receive a reply that it was a requirement but the guidelines have not been updated accordingly. I also found some typos in the instructions. It always annoys me that we are held to a higher standard than the MSC itself.
I don't take the drive through shots from my vehicle. I wait until customers have gone and then shoot them standing. And, yes, 4 or 5 just to make sure they turn out well.

Did some this week. One that passed had the owner standing there when I presented the cards. She is matching them, so the employees actually get $20 instead of $10. Also, I noticed that none of the "winners" have only 6 employees on duty.

I hate the OOPS ones. They ought to pay double for the awkwardness.

So far so good with Confero... A scheduler who happens to schedule for my favorite MSC reached out to me to do some of the prize shops for them, and I decided I'd try them out. I receive my mail at a private post office so don't have to worry about signing for things. I found they all arrived 1-2 days before the due date.

The prize shops pay a little low, but the process was straightforward -- All but one passed, and they were super excited when I presented the prizes. The manager at the one who failed was super understanding -- not one denied me taking the pictures, and they were all aware of the program. It was more along the lines of "Oh wow! They actually noticed us! I didn't think anyone would actually come by!"

I've done one of the prepaid card shops -- they were out of stock of the cards. Confero gave me a decent "go" fee, and still kept my bonus -- so I still felt it was a fair deal for going to the store; didn't have to deal with actually activating the thing after all.

So... so far, so good. I'll do the prize ones again, and maybe try one of the prepaid ones... honestly they hardly have any work in my area. December was the exception it appears... usually they just have an occasional prepaid card shop -- but it's usually a Hispanic brand in a Hispanic store, so I'd be totally out of place buying the specific low-value prepaid card... but this one was for a larger national brand at a regular convenience store so it made sense to try it.

I tried one of these finally. Through no fault of the MSC, the prizes got delivered to the wrong place (a few buildings away, in another organization entirely), but fortunately their Receiving Dept was on the ball and I was able to walk over and get my package, since there was no wiggle room in the schedule.

And doncha know, my first time, it was an Oops. That one simple question they couldn't ask .... the manager was young, probably 25 years younger than me, and was very sweet and obviously a little intimidated. But she didn't give me any problems and signed the form without a fuss.

My wish for these shops is that is you have an Oops situation, they would let you log somewhere that you still have the prizes, and they would work with you to find another not-too-far location (if you wanted) to try again. What a pain to send the prizes back and have them e-mailing you the very same day to get you to sign up for another nearby shop! I know they have to practice tight control of the prizes, but if the shopper has worked with them before, surely this would save them a ton in shipping costs!
I agree, Amy Ann! Kind of like a "working capital"! at least for that "round" of shops. It's like pulling petals from the daisy thing, only saying, "you trust me" and on the next petal saying "you trust me not"!
They paid me for my shops like they should, but I don't really like those shops because of the menu board pictures. You try and try to get them "clear enough" to read the prices. The night drive-thru shop, I think I took 10 or 15 pictures of the drive-thru drink menu board trying to get it to be able to read the prices and be as clear as possible.
Did anyone receive their 1/26 payment (ACH)? If it was indeed pushed on 1/26, it would have credited today (1/30), but I suspect that the push wasn't on 1/26.
Not yet, they said it can take up to 5 days.

I'm also waiting for mine. I'm guessing we might see it and the end of today or it really wasn't on the 26th as you suggest. It's the last of my payments I'm waiting on for 2017. I'd like to close it out.
