I got an email about Inside Evaluators being renamed to BarStoolie and focusing on bar integrity shops
Anybody know anything about them? Anybody worked for Inside Evaluators?

Inside Evaluators was around for a long time. Do a search on the forum using all dates and you will find plenty of posts. My search brought up more than one thread. The most recent was [www.mysteryshopforum.com]

Hi kattyk- You received that email because you are currently registered with Inside Evaluators.
Yes, we have made a myriad of critical changes and have rebranded to BarStoolie. We will be focusing almost exclusively on the bar sector of the MS industry.

We welcome bar shoppers to register on our new site: [barstoolie.clientsmart.com]
We will be starting to post shops within the next couple of weeks.

If anyone has any questions, feel free to contact me at either joan@insideevaluators.com or barstoolie@insideevaluators.com

PS-If you are already registered with Inside Evaluators, you do not need to re-register. Clientsmart was able to transfer you information to the new site. However, please log in to your account and make sure all your information is up to date.

I got it--but I dislike the name. That being said, it won't deter me from doing work for them. But the acronym alone (BS) is not a good one, frequently we use acronyms on this site...yikes.

I was signed with you years ago, but not sure I ever did anything....I just went to site, and they say my email is there, but I'm no longer active...do I need to re-register and update info . I do bar audits...afterthought, i'm not crazy about the name Bar Stoolie, sounds unprofessional. but won't stop me from working for you if you'll have me...

Irene-LOL. I didn't come up with the name. Too late to change it now. Your shopper account is still active, but your email notifications were turned off. I've turned them back on and if you'll email me, I can send you your login info.

JASFLALMT- we certainly won't be going by the acronym "bs". I've already made my request to the owner that we not use that other than perhaps internally.

It's funny in an odd way, but I asked my husband what a "stoolie" was and he said it was a narc, rat, etc. It's not a very tasteful name. Gotta think about this one.

I think you guys are being a bit ruthless about the name. Seriously?
If you think of a "stoolie" as an "informer", (which is one of its definitions), isn't that what you're doing every time you perform a shop? Informing?
Shop for us or not, your choice. But we'd love to add some more fantastic bar shoppers to our team.

Sorry if I sound irritated, but I've been sick for the past 3 weeks and feel like I've been run over several times by a mack truck.

Sorry to hear that. I had the flu the first week of January and that's how I felt. I still have the cough that won't go away.

BTW, the best Sex on the Beach cocktail I ever had was at a bar shop. Bring it on!

LOL Whiskey sour was the first thing that came to mind (I'm a white zin and Blue Moon person-but not together) and I'd just finished writing a list of acceptable mixed drink orders for the shop instructions.

I was once at a bar in Woodstock, NY that wouldn't even stock white zin bc of some ingredient in it. lol
My list is long (I'll add Moscow Mule since it has vodka), but it's only intended to drive home the point (hopefully) of ordering a generic mixed drink.

I'd like to point out that when we ask for your ms experience on the registration form, we're not asking for ms company names. Just the types of shops you've performed. Many shoppers enter that they can't divulge what MSPs they shop for due to their ICAs.

When I read this my first thought was confusion. Then I continued down the thread and saw that apparently Sloolie means informer? I can't imagine I am the only person who has never heard this. I immediately thought oh a person that spends a lot of time on a barstool. I would imagine a significant percentage of people would think the same thing.

Yes, that is one of the meanings. But it also has other definitions and synonyms depending on the dictionary and/or thesaurus.

I could largely care less what the name is. If they want to pay me fairly, I'll do the shops. Just like any other name, if it is not an impediment to attracting clients or, better, helps, great - that's more money for all of us. If it does act as an impediment, they'll surely re-brand.

That said, I can't find any other definitions to "stoolie."
