Scheduler text...not about her job.....

I get a text from a scheduler asking me if I'd accept a 45.00 job for a assisted living home through another MSC
I already work for...was like pulling teeth to get the name out of her, I never got the location of the job. I go online ad the MSC in question had nothing within my search of 400 miles. What do you make of this, was she looking for a referral fee or what, I'm baffled.

Maybe she liked your writing and it was a job that wasn't going to hit the boards.

I have a fairly lucrative recurring shop from a scheduler I'd never heard of who found me through a message board. She cherry-picks people she thinks would be a good fit.

"Let me offer you my definition of social justice: I keep what I earn and you keep what you earn. Do you disagree? Well then tell me how much of what I earn belongs to you - and why?” ~Walter Williams
Such offers are common for shoppers who have good reps with a scheduler. Or who become known through FB pages and/or shopper conferences. Remember, a ton of shops never see a job board.

Poor customer service? Don't get mad; get video.
I feel better, what thru me was she doesn't work for this MSC., so, being I'm signed with this MSC, they should have emailed me...still strange.

Job was on up and up, owner called and set it up Though it is a target and they want it done ASAP. Funny she didn't know job wasn't on board and it should have been. About Face's scheduler was friends with owner, having worked together at one time, she recommended me, was nice.....

No all...they were friends long ago and worked together, not for years. They talk to each other about me and were very uprofessional...not happy and cancelled the job.

If they offered you a job it seems what they had to say about you was good things. Many of the schedulers I work with seem to work for more than one company. Sometimes I will get an email saying they are doing a favor for another company. Sometimes I get a note from someone I do not know saying someone I work with referred me to their company. I don't mind if they talk about me nicely and then offer me jobs.
I had this same thing happen last week. It was an appliance store shop not for the MSC she works for. I was a little thrown off by it too! I wonder if it is the same person?
I wondered if was about getting referral fees, as they do not work together.
