Maritz Blue Bank Shops

Hello! Has anyone seen the Maritz Blue Bank shops lately? I am wondering if I was taken out of the pool due to an unusual interaction that occurred late last year either in November or December. I know that it has always been said that the bankers can "report" that they have detected a secret shopper to the bank's corporate office or it might be to Maritz.... and then the shopper is restricted from shopping those Blue Banks. I haven't been contacted by Maritz about this... but I am just wondering. So if anyone sees any Blue Bank shops listed, please let me know. Has anyone been banned from the Blue Bank shops? If so, did Maritz contact you to tell you so?

I know that a bunch hit the board in my area for Feb a couple of weeks ago. You might want to call them to see if there is a problem.
I got called for several yesterday. Turned 'em down because the fee was not even close to what I needed.

How much do you usually get for them, if you don't mind me asking?
It seems like these go in streaks -- a new shopper comes along, grabs a bunch, and I get no calls. This month I've gotten 4 or 5 calls asking me to take some...
Thanks everybody for your responses! I may just have to "bite the bullet" and call Maritz. It just seems that it is odd that I do not see them anymore after the "instance" with a banker that did notwant to deal with a mystery shopper that HIS company has contracted us to shop. I think I will call in the AM. I apreciate knowing that Maritz still has the cleint.

I had to stop doing those. I could not make up any more believable excuses for why I was back yet again. winking smiley

Depends on how desperate they are to get someone to drive to the boonies. I'm betting they'll be calling back at the end of the month with a more reasonable offer. I would never take these at the first rate they offer.

The verdict is in... sadly... I called Maritz today and I am indeed restricted from the Blue Banks due to a banker calling in to indentify me as the Mystery Shopper. I am quite bummed. I have done these for I believe at least three years. And I did tons of them... as many as 12 or so a day. Those were my glory days.... hitting an area for the day. Mapping out a route.... loving the bonuses. You would think that the bankers would not want to take us off the pool of shoppers because if they know who we are, they would be ahead of the game. But, of course, its not always the case. What benefit is it to the banker to "out me?" the issue that day with him was, honestly he did not want to make time for me. He was like, "How are you doing? I haven't seen you in a while." He would not invite me to his office. He came out to the waiting area and shoved the product folder in my hand. He did not even ask me what I needed. He was like, "We want to make sure our shoppers have everything they need..." It was awful! I kind of felt that when I left he would call and get me taken off the client. The report was not good, to say the least. Oh well... what goes around comes around. He treated this poor IC Mystery Shopper like trash... I am sure he will also be treated like trash. Thanks for your help people! My suspicions were correct!

I used to do a ton of these when I lived in a blue bank heavy area. Eventually, two young bankers made me, but I guess I was lucky that I never caught them on cranky days and when I realized I'd been made (one can only use the "identical twin sister told me to come in" line so often), I just stopped requesting those locations.
I was wondering about these. I haven't seen them this month at all. I had to cancel one last month and I think I may have been removed from the project. I hope this isn't the case since the cancellation was due to being unable to meet with a banker after two visits and two phone calls. But, given Maritz, it probably is why I'm not seeing them.
Oh Teri! I hope you can still do them! I loved those. Normally quick money, but I also had your situation before when nobody would see me after attempts! I remember doing some across the border to another state as I sometimes work there. No go... time after time and I too had to cancel. Those Blue Banks were my bread and butter in good weather. This issue with the banker occurred in December. I dont get out as much in Jan and Feb due to weather and my mom stays with me. But I was thinking about spring is coming. My time to secret shop from dusk 'til dawn! I need a new gig!

I am going to call Maritz on Monday and see what is up. Here, we've had 70 degree weather for most of the month. It's beautiful, but we will pay come fire season.
When do they pay, I still have not gotten paid, assigned through KSS....thx Martiz just returned my call saying she will now submit an invoice, I'll get paid the 28th( the job was done in Dec), or they'll send a check, but I signed for Direct Deposit? What's wrong with this picture.....

It was probably at the end of the shop guidelines. It is one of the many Pain in the behind aspects of shopping with Maritz. The invoice is submitted on the web site. With the old site, it had to be submitted within 14 days. I'm not sure if this has changed. Otherwise, you need to invoice them through snail mail or email.
Tina- I am late to the party in responding to you but your exact situation happened to me....
Maritz never informed me...I continued to get other shops....when I finally wondered, I had to write and call Maritz CX a total of seven times before I got a response last month. I was not told why I was 'removed' from the project, just that I was.....no great loss...but those shops were a good filler....
Aaaaaw God bless you winemaker! It would be nice if they would inform us! I guess I am thankful I found out in one call. Like I said, when I left the bank that day... I knew it was the end. First Maritz lost the Big Box stores last year I guess it was that I used to do very regularly and now I am banned from Blue Banks! I kinda don't care for the gas shops all that much... unless they are bonused. Not much going on for me with Maritz these days... But on I happier note, I signed up with some more companies that have work in my area. It's all good. But yes, winemaker I feel your pain!

It’s under the “My Shops” link.
I was 'made' as a shopper after the associate a location refused to tell me the information requested. I miss doing these shops as I could do the longer travel shops for up in the 3 digits. They were also paid very quickly and I knew before hand what I had to do.

They gave you $100+ for these shops?
