Yes Eric, I can add few more email accounts/accounts to her list, and I will. This ordeal has been draining and troublesome. I completed another shop for her, different company, and I am waiting for payment. I expect to receive it! I am all about “ok, let’s move forward” but that was before I realized that Carrie lied about not being able to check her email account and see numerous email from me, and before the forum members figured out that the woman is a con artist who was banned from mystery shopping industry. It makes me sick mainly because I have a small child and most of the shops and time spent on shopping, I do it for my family.
She replied to the post with garbage that doesn’t have anything to do with my situation, mentioning yet another company that is troublesome, and saying that she does use her email account where she told me that she doesn’t use...
My advice is to stay away from this woman.

Spicy1, you are right and I agree with you. It was a mistake that I accepted Carrie’s offer, I could have gone with Merc but when she offered, I don’t really question the people in this business. I have been doing it for 15 years and no issues other than her Freeman group ordeal where I was left about $100.
I feel that these posts are taking away from the point of my post so please consider that too. I am asking you please because I do not want other shoppers to trust her or schedulers and companies alike. Most of us are honest workers and wouldn’t want injustice upon others. Again, I agree with you felow shopper but please stay alert and help us stay alert as well.

As long as you guys are going to keep this thread open with arguments irrelevant to the major problem, I am going to repeat what I think is the BIG PROBLEM. The longer the thread stays active, the more shoppers will see it and perhaps some MSC employees and owners will see it.

An independent scheduler who is currently calling herself CARRIE COYLE, although she has worked in this industry under several names, is making promises on behalf of legitimate MSCs and not following through. I would be highly suspicious of any email or telephone call I received from Carrie Coyle, Private Eyes, regardless of what company she is scheduling on behalf of.

Research from Doug Rector, Private Investigator, Owner, NWLCP from his post on Volition, 1/11/2008:

"Everything posted by Laurie and Laura are true. I actually hired Cari (aka Shawna) to schedule 10 shops to see how she did. When I was contacted by anther company regarding Shawna Coyle I did some research and verified she was actually Cari Zittel. Since I am a licensed private investigator I was able to do some backgrounds on "Shawna". Everything in her correspondance to me was a lie and she denied being "Cari" until the very end where I provided her with the information I was able to verify. I have been in contact with the police department in the city in which she lives and as of 2 weeks ago they were going to investigate her using an alias AND that she was at least in violation of her parole for credit card theft. Her boyfriend, Shawn COYLE, was in public office in the city in which they live but is no longer. It is NWLPC policy, before hiring a scheduler, to now require a photo ID along with an already required confidentially agreement and a background check."

UPDATE: Cari Zittel/Shawna Coyle/Cari Coyle/Carrie Coyle was discharged from probation on 6-26-10, so it appears she is no longer restricted from working in the MS industry. She has recently worked for Mercantile and Sinclair. She has promised bonuses while scheduling for both companies and has not paid. She is currently scheduling for Red Quanta, and she appears to be using the shopper databases from Mercantile and Sinclair, so you may be contacted by her if you are registered with either of those companies.

BEWARE. Agree to do shops for her and accept offers of bonuses at your own risk.

There are more companues that are 90 days out or more. As the OP said, it was an agreement between her and the scheduler, not on behalf of the MSC, as you stated. And, the OP has been paid.

The OP was paid 4 1/2 months later after after sending about 30 unanswered emails to Carrie at Private Eyes. She contacted Carrie using another email address Carrie used as a scheduler for a different company, and Carrie initially responded that she "no longer works for Private Eyes and no longer has access to the Private Eyes email." Then Carrie came on our forum and said "I paid for Private Eyes and that's the email I use." So which is it? She has access or she does not have access? Reading Carrie's post, there are so many inconsistencies, it's hard to believe anything in it.

All shoppers should beware of any contact received from Carrie Coyle. Shoppers - make no bonus deals with her. And MSCs should be leery of doing business with her.

How much of our info does she have access to as a scheduler? Hopefully only accounting can access SS#s and other sensitive info.

JASFLALMT, one company said that Carrie did not have access to my SSN and credit card. I am yet to see what happens with other shop that I completed. She was convicted ten years ago for the fraud and scamming mystery shoppers. She does not necessarily need to be given an access to your data; she does it on her own. Scary.

I have no personal or business contact with her. If Amy at Summit were to write an email and ask me to do a shop and the bonus was just between her and I, I would say no. I have no contract with her. That's my point. One other person has said they are affected in the same way. Everyone else is conjuring.

And then you have people like bgriff who tack on that I don't contribute positively and it just turns out like this. All because they think that one idea negates another, but only if it was theirs. Had bgriff or Smeric said it is not a good idea to make a side bet, this would have gone entirely differently.

Having Carrie as a scheduler is like having some shoppers showing too much interest in your post. Concerning.

And that is not at all true. I think at times you make very positive contributions. Especially when someone is asking about the ins and outs of particular shops that you've done. See the Barnes & Noble thread. But you spend the other 75% of your time complaining that MSC's don't pay enough, require things you don't like, are hard to get along with, are out to screw the shopper, that there's no way to make money in this business, etc, etc, etc ad nauseam. I've only started a few threads. The other posts I've made have been in response to what's happening in a thread. I'm not at 75% negative, but if that helps you in some way then go ahead and say it. I'm in the middle of things when these threads hit my email. I'm not sitting around on my ass thinking about how wonderful and popular I can be.

The money and excitement most people can make mystery shopping is hard earned.

I talk about how I make "big bucks" all the time. Although I don't make "big bucks." I make a pretty good living and I make an especially good living for having a business that I work maybe 2/3rds time on instead of full time. If you want me to say you should email Carrie at Private Eyes because you can talk her into paying $100 for that widget shop next door you are insane. I've pretty much given a road map to how I make money otherwise. I'm not going to drive you there too.

Plus, in Carrie's response to this thread, she posed under the name, Private Eyes Online, yet says " Private Eyes is really no longer in business. However, this is the email that I use for Scheduling, so I continue to use it. I paid for it, I am going to keep using it."

Yes, KathySueM, this scheduler, Carrie Coyle, or whatever her name may be at the time, is a trouble. She is not in business for the right reasons. She has a history of scanming shoppers. My advice to you is to keep your distance from her.
