I received an email this morning saying I was assigned a competitive cellular shop. It even showed up on their app as one of my shops. All of a sudden it’s gone. It doesn’t show up anywhere as an app or in my inbox. This company is one of my favorites so I’m kinda upset that they did this without any explanation. Any tips or help would be appreciated.

I apply but have never gotten an acceptance email. Looking at the board it seems it has been assigned to me,
do they send out emails, or is it self-assigned.

Yes, Irene, they send out assignment emails. What you may be seeing on the site is your application. It is a bit confusing because when the page loads, that is what shows up and it looks like an assignment, but it's the shops you've applied for. Look carefully at the box in the upper left hand corner to see if it's assigned or applied for.

The same thing happened to me. I have the assignment email but it’s not in my inbox. I’m going to send and email and hopefully will get a response/have it fixed.
My job is now in my inbox, will do it tomorrow...guess they don't send out notice.

I emailed the scheduler. He said it was a Shopmetrics glitch and was trying to fix it.
I write the scheduler telling her store was closed...oh my, after i write N/A and upload a pic of closed store, the briliiant scheduler says she removed it from the site because it was closed. I now have no proof I ever went and did it.....annoyed yes..

I thought they paid 1/2 fee for closed stores. Check with your scheduler if you have a photo showing it was closed, you should be paid, unless they required a phone call prior to visiting, which they sometimes do.

My scheduler Kimberly removed my report, so no proof of my doing it. Does anyone have a # for them, can't find any info. to reach them.

There was a problem with the site. I received a message late last night saying that shopmetrics had erased my report and requested I input the information again. That may have happened to some with assigned reports as well.

Irene_L.A., I had that problem with three or four shops ( with a different IPSOS scheduler) over a year ago. I never got paid and my emails to someone higher up were ignored. I finally choose to let the issue go, although admittedly it still rubs me the wrong way. I hope you have better luck than I did. I've worked with Kimberly often and she's always been great.
Update....I just received a response from Kimberly (my scheduler). I will not be paid due to the fact that a closed business is the responsibility of the shopper, we need to call first. Mind you, this is a huge store, not a tiny business, and it was open a week ago, as I browsed the mall. I never call Macy's when shopping or Best Buy, and, this is that size of a chain. Not happy!!!!

I took an assignment where I knew the store was closed, also a Giant of retail, and it's in a prett small tourist town. I was being helpful to everyone in my area, taking the shop, the pic of the closed store and reporting it. I had shops with huge bonuses and had one right next door. Guess what they did? They put the shop back on the board. Guess what I did?
There are several closed locations that I have scouted out online and told them about. I would love to get paid for this service but it is worthwhile to me not to have to drive, park and take a pic for a measly sum. And since I like this company I do not mind once in a while giving them a heads up for free. They have been very nice to me. Many of these still show up for a very long time after I have told them. I did do one without checking once and got the meager sum.
I gave them a heads up that I knew a location was closed, but they said their client requires a photo of the location before they will close it out. So even if they 'know' it's closed, without someone physically going there and taking a photo they can't remove it. I had the same thing happen to me with a GfK shop.
I got paid ZERO when reporting a closed location for the cc shops, having taken the pic and completing the report. Not even a thank you! Even my ex, pig that he is (was), says thank you.

Same thing happened to me.....walking in that huge parking lot, going downstairs taking pic, doing a bit of report, uploading pic and telling them store closed, which they didn't even know... I gave them a lot in info. rude, not a fan.

I just completed a competitive cellular bundle shop which involved 4 shops in one for $60. I spent over 5 hours doing the work yesterday. One of the locations (three out of four) was closed. I tried calling and no one answered beforehand. I took photos of it and went on their app to input that data. Then I did my final location. I received an email this morning saying I was not going to get paid at all ($60) since I did not verify in advance the location was closed (I tried calling) and contact my scheduler immediately when I discovered it was closed ( I input the data). On top of that, I remembered on the way home that I forgot to take a photo of the last location and drove back 30 minutes each way to get it. Then the app was not saving my report so I had to retype two of the sections 3x before I could submit the whole report. All to be told I would not get paid. I responded back to the email this morning but got no reply.
Oh My God! You should absolutely follow through with this. You should be paid for the 3 you completed.

I noticed that Kim placed the $15 shops into a bundle of 4 but that did not increase the pay $60 for 4.
I don't trust these types of bundles and, well, certain people.

The bundle is more work as you have to rate which are the best and worst in 3 different categories and support your choices. Is there a different way for me to get help about my situation as the editor has not replied to my email?
