Re: Marketforce Wireless Unannounced Audits

I have seen some new MF shops appear where you agree not to shop the same location for 6 months, conduct an unannounced audit of a major wireless provider that can expect to take 60-90 minutes to complete. Its listed as an audit with pictures. This seems like a real deatiled shop, that pays very little. Started at $10, and is now at $11. Has anyone completed one of these. If so, please share your experience.

I won't touch these for $10 bucks. tongue sticking out smiley
Plus, they know you after this and you can't shop the store for 6 months.
There was an earlier thread about this. I posted there as well. When I first started two years ago the early ones I did were $25-$34 and then seemed to settle at $25. I did not see them at all last calendar year, unless that was just my view. I thought they could have switched companies for the year. Glad to see them back, because once I did the first couple and got used to MS, I knew really quick I like audits. Back then they were by appt. I would imagine that the process is the same, but more involved than another client, also discussed on a recent thread. This returning client had more things to note in the system and operations of the store requiring a manager to show you, so it could be more time consuming still if the store is busy. It involved more than simple questions and making observations.
Wait.
Do not go near them for that money.
They have several in my area. I took one, read the guidelines and immediately hit delete!! Not worth it. MF has another client paying $20 for an announced audit. Takes 3 hours and you have to get the pricing from the register for 100 items!! Now, if they were paying a 100 bucks....

One client is 85 items and another client is 100 items. tongue sticking out smiley
For the retail store one, they say to allow 3 hours but I've completed 3 of them and am usually in the store an hour at most. The first one took me about 1.5 hours because I made more work for myself than necessary. I did have one manager tell me that a guy came there and took 4 hours to complete it but they're actually pretty easy. I usually take them for $30 so I figure that's not bad for an hour of my time.

As for the wireless one, I'm usually in and out in 15 minutes, maybe a little longer if the location is busy as customers come first. $10 isn't really worth my time but I'll do them when they get to $20+.
How are these done normally? What is required of you? Im curious and thinking of trying one but have no idea what id even be getting into?
Thing is about the cell phone audit I usually see a lot of them and I figure that I will grab several of them but it doesn't happen like that. You select one and the rest then go away. I have to relearn that every month.
Yes! That! The learning curve cost time and time is money. If they were to give me all of them, or most of them, then I would pay for the learning curve for the one with the initials. But they don't. Same with the GFK audits as there are only two stores in my immediate area and really only one other within 100 miles. Same with the gas stations. How can 100 pages of instructions be worth 5 stations at $8F + $5R? I need 15 within 20 miles at base rate to cover the education at home and hesitation at the station.
Same thing happened to me. I used to do several, and it looks like I can only get one yesterday. These are announced audits that you call ahead at least 48 hours. Not sure why they changed. Earlier this month I was able to book two on the same date. Easy $14-$20.
I also looked at these shops and came to the same conclusion. Once you've gone in and done an in depth audit, they would definitely know you and that would end any shops at the location for a long time!
They will rotate you out of the mystery shops once you have done the audits. I don't know for how long but I think it's a couple of years. And they only have one audit per year, that I know of but the mystery shops nearly every or every other month.
These are not being touched by many shoppers and they know it! I signed up for one and quickly cancelled when I saw the guidelines. They are now up to $13.25 in my area. I won't go near them for less than $25.
I have done two of these audits and they are not that bad. I enjoy audits so I decided to give these a try. There are some corporate locations, which have more audit requirements than regular stores. The corporate location took me about an hour to perform and the regular store about 45 minutes. Both of these shops paid $11. Have another corporate location today that is paying $15. I do realize they should be paying more for these, but since I am going to be in the area anyway, why not make a little money.
I saw these, but the mystery shops for the same location are about the same if you get them bonused. I don't want to reveal myself and not be able to do the mystery shops.
If they are the ones that are owned by another cell phone provider they are not that bad.
