I just don’t do them. There is just toooooooo much duplication in the report that they want from you. It is NOT worth the money when you consider reading all of the instructions, travel time, being there and then doing an arduous report that you already know will be sent back to you for some stupid thing that doesn’t even have a relationship to service. This company needs to start listening to the mystery shoppers that have to write this ridiculous report. Start listening to your mystery shoppers, or you won’t have any skilled shoppers that will work for you. I am one of those shoppers that have ”Delisted this company.”

No apology needed...I probably didn't write that well. Like others have said, I don't think the instructions are all that clear sometimes. I read it as TG suggests you tip $2 for the bellman and $2 to the valet...but I usually bring a couple extra bags so I'll tip a dollar per bag (so sometimes more than a $2 tip to the bellman). I don't really care if I don't get reimbursed the extra dollar or two but I hope it's not a violation of the specifications to do that. I never thought about that. I will be sure to read closely next time I do one to make sure I'm not.

I know that Coyle wants high quality from the reports I have done for the restaurant shops. But can you tell me if the reports and things you need to do at the hotel (overnight stays) are the same as TG? Do you have to do like 10-15 different reports/tasks (the engineering request, housekeeping request, public space photos, restaurants, concierge,... etc)? Are the Coyle reports similar to its restaurant reports with yes/no and long narratives? Are the Coyle hotel assignments as time consuming as the TG assignments?

The reason I ask is because I have been doing a bunch of Coyle restaurant shops (busting my butt to do great reports) so that Coyle will assign me hotel stays. Wondering if it is worth it.
One company I do not do anymore because if the tip isn't on the CC receipt they say I did not do it and I am trying to steal it back. I never add a tip to my credit card receipt because I have been screwed by establishments before. a two$ tip was turned into a 20$ before.

Very interesting that you say that. I have wondered how often schedulers/owners/editors come to a site like this and if some of the things said here cause them to change their ways of doing things.
My guess is that many read whats written here but few do use what they learn to improve their business.
