Anyone doing shops for them in NY State? How is the experience? Schedulers communication is lacking? Payment delays? Assignment validation time frame? Any input appreciated.

I have done shops for Albatross. I am in Texas. I have never had issues with them.
They are a European company and do take longer to communicate, but a good company. I applied for a couple shops in L.A.

I do shops on monthly basis for them, in TX and internationally. Haven’t had any issues with them
I have done a few upscale retail shops with them. Easy forms and professional staff.
Anybody have a contact for their head office? It's been 45 days I have done evals for them which are still pending validation. My scheduler says they are fine but still pending. No sign of payment. No reply from their 'contact us ' form on website either....it's really annoying to do last minute ,outstanding evals for them and then not get paid in time.
Every shop I have done for Albatross has been paid within 2 weeks and usually within 7 days. I have never had any problems with communication but it can take a few days to get assigned. If it has been 45 days I would think something was wrong and your most likely not getting paid as it would be too late to correct or salvage. I hope I am wrong for your case.

Shopping Western NY, Northeast and Central PA, and parts of Ohio and West Virginia. Have car will travel anywhere if the monies right.

Interesting - I've got pretty much the opposite experience: I generally have to wait 45 days and only have one shop where I was paid sooner than that.

However, the shops get approved very quickly - generally within a working day. Did four for them on Saturday of which now three have been approved already.

I'm not US based though so YMMV!
I am in Canada, and I have done shops for Albatross, and only deal with the territory managers in the new york. They are really nice, and they pay quickly by paypal.

Lucky you.
All my evals are fine infact they are outstanding. The schedulers often contact me directly and force me to take on more. Unfortunately they are slow to validate and payments are often delayed in my experience. But eventually all get paid.
I am sorry to hear that others have had trouble getting timely payment. I have done 14 shops lifetime for them with the last being July 31st 2017. I am US based in NY State.
Nikki you are an independent contractor and nobody can force you to take shops. I have actually been paid for shops from them before they even showed up as validated, or approved, or okay for pay however they list it. I found it weird they paid before even validating a shop but perhaps they just forgot to change to validated status when they had in fact validated it.
Keep us updated as payment troubles can be a sign of company troubles and help others avoid or do shops at their own risk.

Doing an upscale cosmetics shop for them Monday..happy to see they pay quickly, couldn't remember.
They have a different way being their from the UK.

In my experience, this company is polite, generous, pays on time, and quite frankly AWESOME!!!
I'm doing a job for them tomorrow and the reimbursement is great....I was emailed and asked to do this job, and she was the nicest, very helpful, as you have to be certified for their work.

Former manager in NY was from UK. Last manager that I knew of was from France. Not sure if he is still there. I had to write one report in English. He translated it to French for a Swiss client.

I don't do much for them anymore. They have some new schedulers that have zero clue. I tried to tell them, but they didn't listen. Then they came begging back to me, but I was no longer available. I don't play games well. (and their shops did not get done - not my fault.)
I am fluent in French, I could do the report in French easily if need be. I find them to be slackers and payments delayed with no explanation. The head office is in Taipei it seems.
Sorry to disagree, doing one today and had have nothing but praise for them. My scheduler has been on top of everything.....today I'll walk away with a forty dollar reimbursement for a 15 minute job. Doing jobs here, have never been asked to translate?
Different strokes for different folks!!

I was doing off the job board work for them. Not $40 jobs.
We know you have privilege, for me 40.00 for 15 minutes works.......smiling smiley
This was off the board, I was contacted and thought the fee fair.

My experience is quite the opposite. I don't need the money , it's just a matter of principle. Payment schedules need to be honoured as stated.
Hi Bonnie, what kind of shops do you do for them? I just signed up with them and I noticed a few e-commerce ones in NY, but when I clicked for more info nothing really pops up. Im in Montreal. TIA
I completed a high end jewelry shop with them on the 26th of May and received my pay yesterday, the 14th of June.
I work for them and do cosmetics and high end jewelry as well....just applied for two....my experience is they pay within a month, just got paid through PayPal.

I have applied for jobs and heard from them for one, the jewelry shop. My husband was not willing to go with me so I needed to decline. I applied for two more, and hope they go through.
If you decline the first one assigned to you, they do not offer you more as they consider you unreliable.
Just wanted to say their payment timing for shops is superb. I've done four shops with Albatross so far and my most recent shop from the 17th I received money in my paypal today!
